Donbass War: Airport. Part 1.

When the residents of Donbass refused to recognise the results of the Maidan in 2014, the new Ukrainian authorities reacted harshly. Constant shelling began. Yesterday’s miners, teachers, and locksmiths took up arms to protect their land. One of the symbols of the confrontation was the fighting for control over the Donetsk airport. After being occupied by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, it became a constant source of tension.

Watch burned homes, people left homeless, and numerous shelling victims in the film Donbass War: Airport. Part 1.

Well.

YouTube keeps deleting the video of Graham Phillips interviewing a 🇬🇧 merc.

Seems like they forgot one of the main rules of the net: whatever you put on the net, stays there.

Here's the video.

TEHRAN, April 24. /TASS/. The Russian embassy in Tehran has dismissed reports of alleged deliveries of Iranian weapons to Russia.

"The rumors that have appeared in some media about Iranian weapons supplies to Russia are fake news and have nothing to do with the reality," the embassy said on its Twitter page on Sunday.

Earlier, a number of British media outlets carried reports of alleged deliveries of weapons, including anti-aircraft missile systems, from Iraq and Iran to Russia for their subsequent use in the special operation in Ukraine. Both Baghdad and Tehran dismissed these reports.

Germany, 1945, the meeting of allies of the Anti-Hitler coalition on the Elbe River.

The text says that Americans greet brave Russian soldiers and will never forget their courage.

The US authorities canceled the traditional ceremony in memory of the meeting of Soviet and American soldiers on the Elbe river. The event was held annually at Arlington Cemetery near Washington.

On April 25, 1945, Soviet and American troops met near the city of Torgau on the Elbe river, thereby splitting German troops into two parts.

Today the US considers it inappropriate to remember this event. Tomorrow we may see that there was no meeting on the Elbe river at all, Berlin was actually taken by valiant American troops. And then it might turn out that Hitler was not so bad...

“The US Dollar May Be the Next Casualty of the Ukraine War”
by BRANKO MARCETIC

Key points:

🔎From the IMF to Goldman Sachs, concerns that US sanctions on Russia could undermine the dollar’s global dominance are growing.

🔎If Washington can persuade virtually the entire Western world to cut Russia, however deservedly, out of trade networks, freeze its foreign reserves, and remove it from the international banking networks that facilitate most global commerce, then who’s to say it couldn’t happen to them, too?

🔎For many states, the takeaway from it all has been that Western-based banks are no longer a secure site for their foreign holdings, and that reliance on dollars as a reserve asset, or on US-dominated financial infrastructure to carry out trade and other transactions, leaves them vulnerable should the geopolitical winds change.

🔎China and Russia have long worked to “de-dollarize” their economies and insulate themselves from US power, with limited and halting success.

🔎It would be the irony of ironies if the biggest blow to this system was a self-inflicted one.

🇬🇧"Forced to choose between heating and food."

The British newspaper Daily Mirror conducted a survey.

This is the first study published after a sharp rise in fuel and insurance prices in the UK.

"Concern about the sharp rise in bills affected the mental health of more than half of the respondents," the newspaper writes.

The article notes that Britons today have to change their usual way of life. Someone refuses minor things, and someone is forced to save on food and already owes bills.

"More than half of Britons will not be able to afford to pay their bills for several months, as more than five million are already forced to choose between heating and food," the Daily Mirror notes.

For example, a single mother from Ashford has already doubled her electricity bills, and a couple from Surrey had to move into a van because of the cost of housing.

Russia pauses military op on besieged steel plant for evacuation of civilians

MOSCOW, April 25. /TASS/. Russia has paused its military activities around the Azovstal steel plant in the city of Mariuol, in Ukraine, in a goodwill gesture to ensure the safe evacuation of civilians, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrey Rudenko said on Monday.

"We have just now announced a halt to combat activities in the vicinity of the Azovstal plant in Mariupol to allow the remaining civilians a safe exit from the combat zone," Rudenko told journalists. "This is a grand gesture of goodwill on our behalf."

The Russian Defense Ministry reported earlier in the day that starting at 14:00 Moscow time [11:00 a.m. GMT] the forces of Russia and armed formations of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) would stop all combat activities to provide for the safe exit of civilians, who might still be trapped on the territory of the Azovstal plant.
