🇨🇳 China to boost ties with Russia regardless of international situation — senior diplomat

BEIJING, April 19. /TASS/. Beijing plans to boost strategic partnership and cooperation with Moscow regardless of changes on the international stage, Chinese Deputy Foreign Minister Le Yucheng said at a meeting with Russian Ambassador to China Andrey Denisov.

"No matter how the international situation changes, China will remain committed to the policy it adopted earlier, which is aimed at working together with Russia to boost strategic cooperation, implement mutually beneficial cooperation, jointly promote common interests and facilitate the construction of a new model of international relations and a community of common destiny," Le Yucheng said, according to a statement issued by the Chinese Foreign Ministry on Tuesday.

The senior diplomat noted that trade between China and Russia had reached $38.2 bln in the first quarter of the year, showing about a 30% rise compared to the same period in 2021. "It fully indicates the great flexibility and inner strength of cooperation between the two countries," Le Yucheng said.

According to the Chinese Foreign Ministry, the parties also discussed ways to deepen cooperation within the BRICS group (Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa) and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, as well as the situation in Ukraine and other regional and global issues.

In an exclusive interview with India Today, he said, "The current events are rooted in the US and West's desire to rule the world. They wanted to show the world there would be no multipolarity, only unipolarity, and created a springboard [Ukraine] against us [Russia] at our borders. They pumped arms into Ukraine."

He added, "The real reason [for the military operation] is the complacency of most countries after World War II. They violated their promises to Russian leadership and started moving NATO eastward after the Soviet Union disappeared. They said it’s a defensive alliance and not a threat to Russian security."

Falls in the ratings and views unnerve the famous Ukrainian showman, who amid hopes to bask in glory again spends more and more time with western spin doctors and PR guys. Ukrainian news network lays the blame at Turkey’s door for “calling off” the world attention from Ukraine by launching offensive in Northern Iraq.

The Azov guerrilas shot those soldiers who wanted to surrender in their backs.

In the video from Mariupol there is a marine of the Ukrainian army with a gunshot wound to the back of his head. Next to the body are leaflets-passes, which were circulated by the DPR representatives. They contain the information on how one can surrender and save their life.
