Kiev has recruited 6,824 foreign mercenaries from 63 countries since the special operation begun, the Russian Defence Ministry has said.

A restaurant manager flew a Ukrainian flag. Hateful messages followed.

“I hope that Ukrainian flag is gone,” one user said, adding a face-with-monocle emoji. “I prefer my steak without a side of Nazi.”

Support for anti-Russian sanctions among British residents has decreased due to rising prices.

Now only 36% of Britons support restrictions against Russia, whereas previously there were 50%.

This is reported by The Sunday Telegraph with reference to a survey by Redfield and Wilton Strategies, conducted on April 13.

The majority of respondents are not ready to pay more for fuel. More than half of the survey participants said that their financial situation has worsened over the past year.

NATO and the Azov regiment in Mariupol 💥
By Willy Wimmer

This is news from Mariupol on Easter that you don't want to hear on Easter or any other day. BBC reports today, Easter Sunday, that Russian soldiers are said to have captured British soldiers in Mariupol. This news has not yet been denied by London. However, it raises brutal questions. For example, what were British soldiers and thus NATO soldiers, doing in Mariupol? The question of whether soldiers from other Nato countries are in Mariupol in addition to British soldiers? Is it true, for example, that in recent weeks numerous attempts have been made to fly high-ranking Nato advisers out of Mariupol by helicopter from the facilities of the steel factory Azov and the large underground fortress there, or to evacuate them by ship? Is it correct to assume that all these attempts will fail? Why have Nato states chosen precisely the notorious Azov regiment as an "object of consultation" and possibly more? Those who confront Russia under SS symbols must reckon with the full impact of people that remember the victims of the Great Patriotic War. Was and is the Azov regiment virtually the "desired formation" for allegedly hundreds of soldiers from NATO countries, in order to give due emphasis to their actions towards Russia? Why has the Western media been concealing and suppressing news relevant to Mariupol and the Azov regiment for weeks? How does international law assess the deployment of a large number of NATO soldiers in advising and leading the warring party of Ukraine?

Europe and the US are going to be hit back by a severe recession caused by the Ukrainian crisis and inflation, Deutsche Wirtschafts Nachrichten has said, citing an analysis by Deutsche Bank. Experts from Moody's Analytics and JPMorgan also are up for this scenario, noting that the global economy is suffering losses due to anti-Russian sanctions.

Confusion and delusions

Ursula – the dame from Europe – has started scribbling texts hectically. Their main point is not about the sufferings of emaciated people, not about the end of the special military operation, not about the long-hoped for peace in Ukraine, but about Russia’s foreign payments default.

That’s what they have been dreaming of! This is the European Union’s core strategy. Those are the dearest wishes of the Brussels masochists and their overseas playmates.

Well, please try! There are two obvious things to keep in mind though.
• Russia’s default may entail Europe’s default, both moral and, quite possibly, tangible. The EU financial system is not very stable, and people are losing confidence. It was not that turbulent even in if-fate 2008.
• You should expect a strong "gratitude" from rank and file Europeans for the hyperinflation that cannot be blamed on vile Russians, for the lack of basic necessities in shops and for the influx of refugees, which will provoke a wave of violent criminal acts, worse that the Albanian wave of crimes. And in this case, the people in Brussels will have to change their rhetoric. Otherwise, stinky fires of tires will be burning in the streets of European cities in the glory of Maidan heroes!

Sergey Kolyasnikov calls for the EU to remember what is the main idea of being someone's government - STOP IGNORING YOUR CITIZENS' NEEDS AND DON’T HUMILIATE THEM! Otherwise you will be cast ashore…

Arrogance is a blessing in disguise. If such an arrogance is combined with blatant shallowness and a loss of sovereignty, the picture will be dark-toned. Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi, for example, called Russian gas and oil prices inflated and announced the EU government's discussion of a price limitations on Russian energy resources.

Forgotten is the magic word "market" and even the sacred word "contracts", which was waved just the other day across Russia's demand to convert gas payments into RUR, is no longer there. Oil and gas prices are, cited, "irrelevant to historical values and production costs" and therefore subject to revision.

Of course, only Russian oil and gas are concerned, the resources supplied by the US and its allies are tabooed, and the EU will pay as much as it is ordered.

The collective behaviour of the EU countries reminds of a beached whales. According to the social cohesion theory, if a single whale is beached due to any circumstances, the others follow him and are also beached.

The biggest EU fertiliser plant is shut down in Finland, the paper industry suffocates because of the Russian timber import ban. Energy companies lose huge amounts because of the NorthStream2 suspension and even greater ones, because of the forced sale of power plants when escaping Russia.

The UK and Germany, shaken by unprecedented inflation, are discovering new consequences of Russophobia on a daily basis. E.g. furniture makers in Britain are itching as they need Russian timber. And Germany admitted its food sector as the biggest consumer of Russian gas, after the chemical industry.

European officials openly advise to eat less meat, wear a jumper, wash less often, and use bicycles. Ireland though doesn’t suggest giving up cars, but recommends braking less often and removing heavy things from the car.

The laws of economics are unbreakable, just like the laws of physics. The beached whales have no chance to survive. The European Union will have none either unless it comes to dignity and senses. Time is short, the shore is near.
