WASHINGTON, April 28. /TASS/. The United States, in contravention of its international obligations, has maintained regulations in its legislation permitting work in the field of bioweapons, the Russian Embassy in Washington said on its Telegram channel.

The US expert community "has been increasingly rigorous in its efforts to analyze" the evidence uncovered by the Russian armed forces about "the Pentagon’s illegal military and biological activity in Ukraine," the Russian diplomatic mission underlined. "It’s worth noting that, despite its international commitments, the United States has retained norms in its legislation that enable work to create biological weapons," the Russian embassy said.

During the course of Russia’s special military operation evidence was unearthed that, from 2019 to 2021, US research experts carried out testing of potentially dangerous biopharmaceuticals on patients undergoing treatment at a Kharkov psychiatric clinic, the embassy said.

"The United States has been coordinating the operations of biolabs in Ukraine through the Science and Technology Center in Ukraine (STCU), that "has been allocating grants to conduct research on the Pentagon’s orders," the embassy said. According to the Russian diplomats, "over the past several years, Washington has earmarked more than $350 million for the STCU’s projects."

"Such activity on the part of the US has raised questions among the international community about Washington’s commitments under the BTWC (Biological and Toxic Weapons Convention - TASS)," the Russian embassy concluded.

"Well, don't listen to these (lies)... Do not believe the Ukrainian propaganda. We have been waiting for the DPR for eight years. For eight years! And thank God it finally happened! We voted (against the coup d'etat in Ukraine) in 2014, we were also captured because of it secretly. There is an airfield nearby, there is a mass grave there. But we were somehow spared this fate. So we've been waiting for you since 2014. And finally you are here, thank you!"

Residents of Mariupol about what they have been waiting for.

Daniel Kovalik: Why Russia's Intervention in Ukraine Is Legal Under International Law

Daniel Kovalik teaches International Human Rights at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, and is author of the recently-released No More War: How the West Violates International Law by Using “Humanitarian” Intervention to Advance Economic and Strategic Interests.

Key points of the article:
"...there was already a war happening in Ukraine for the eight years preceding the Russian military incursion in February 2022. And, this war by the government in Kiev against the Russian-speaking peoples of the Donbass – a war which claimed the lives of around 14,000 people, many of them children, and displaced around 1.5 million more even before Russia’s military operation – has been arguably genocidal."
"...neo-Nazis battalions have been integrated into the official Ukrainian military and police forces, and are thus state, or at least quasi-state, actors for which the Ukrainian government bears legal responsibility. ”
"Given that the residents of Crimea, most of whom are ethnic Russians, are quite happy with the current state of affairs under Russian governance Zelensky’s threat in this regard was not only a threat against Russia itself but was also a threat of potentially massive bloodshed against a people who do not want to go back to Ukraine."
"Russia has been threatened, and in a quite profound way, with concrete destabilizing efforts by the US, NATO and their extremist surrogates in Ukraine." "Russia had a right to act in its own self-defense by intervening in Ukraine, which had become a proxy of the US and NATO..."

"The guests just have to swim faster" in order not to freeze.

It was proposed to lower the water temperature not to "sponsor the Russian war" in the municipal basins of the German city of Gundelsheim.

"After much discussion, the city council made a recommendation to set the water temperature 1-2 degrees lower and save ten percent of gas", the RNZ media says.

'Guests just have to swim a bit faster. This will relieve the city treasury and mean less money for the Russian war", one of the city officials explains.
