To speak you must register by 12pm on the day of(tomorrow). You will need access to Zoom and will receive a confirmation email with a link to connect. This may go to junk.

Be prepared to speak for 30 seconds to 3 mins. If you prepare a 3 min be ready to condense if needed. They may send a email letting you know they have too many speakers and you will have less time to speak. 

If there are a lot of non agenda comments they may move the non agenda public comment to later on in the evening. 

You can speak to any agenda item but have to stay on topic. If you use C7, the non agenda public comment, you may speak on anything but an agenda item. 

Covid-19 update is set for 7:00pm and will have comments also. This agenda item is H1. 

If this is your first time thank you for getting involved! Write a little script on something you are passionate about and let the board know how you feel. 

Ideas to speak on for general comment, C7:
- When will they allow us to meet in person? 
- Teen Talk curriculum 
- Poor test scores 
- Student Mental Health
- lack of Parental Involvement and transparency during Covid 
- what ever you are passionate about


Ideas to speak on for Covid Update:
- Masks in schools
- Vaccine Clinics 
- Health Emergency, heart inflammation in youth. 
- legal issues with mandates 
- many more topics, make sure you are accurate.

CalOsha is meeting tonight to revisit mask in workplace requirements. Please consider commenting, this is the board everyone blames for mandates.

The meeting is at 5pm and if you want to speak please send an email prior to the meeting with your name, affiliation(if desired), and topic(mask requirement) to [email protected].

URGENT ACTION ITEM - before 5 PM TODAY

URGENT: Cal-OSHA is meeting today to determine new COVID-19 Workplace Standards. Give Public comment via email before 5pm or verbally at the meeting

Cal-OSHA is likely to line up with CDC, as CDPH has instructed them to do so.  AVFCA's focus is on the segregation and discrimination that will result from unvaccinated and vaccinated persons being treated differently.

Santa Barbara City College is still considering whether to mandate vaccines.  Please contact the board members and ask them to protect the right to choose whether or not to take the risk of vaccination for a disease that has effective treatments and a very high survival rate.
