Memes are unequivocally the best way to make it. You don’t hear make it stories as often around stuff like Defi unless it’s a ponzi inside of crypto.

Most headlines are, “how xyz person put 9000$ in dogecoin and made 50k”. Majority of retail has had a story with dogecoin before having a story about making a million dollars on something like $avax or $ada.

That’s why I refocused most of my portfolio to be more about memes and momentum based trades in the interim.

Its crazy to see in the last sixth months how much my portfolio has changed from investing in ai / blockchain plays like $sei, $sui, $rndr to $pepe, $mog, and $wif.

For me it’s always been about inflows, outflows, holder count, and momentum. The old coins just aren’t getting visibility and then you are stuck getting dunked on by the unvesting schedules of these higher cap coins.

I’d say if you want to make it, 30-40% of your portfolio should be memes or whatever is the momentum of the market. It’s hard to sell those assets that are down 40-50% but imo the reward is going to be trading the wave.

The best way to win in the market long term has always been to just be early to narratives that hit the market. That’s the stupid easy trader especially if you are on crypto twitter.
