I wonder what people mean when they say they want a good internet. I believe it's currently being run to the ground and in a few years none of this will feel the same. Like many others I grew up chronically online and I can't explain how perfect it was up until a few years ago. it's one of the few things I'm genuinely pessimistic about. Everything has a low shelf life now, good things lower than bad things. Search engines don't fucking work. Everything is deleted. Constantly doubting if anything is real. You can actually tell there are bots everywhere now which is a crazy difference compared to a year ago. The simplicity and monotony is generally off putting in a virtual world. This should be a place to escape into another galaxy, it should be permanent, perfect, pure
