Military expert Boris Rozhin on the main points during the special military operation of the Russian Federation in Ukraine at 22.54 Moscow time on October 28, 2022, specially for the Voenkor Kotenok Z @voenkorKotenok channel:
1. Donetsk direction.
The battles for Pervomaiskoye continue. The pace of progress is low. Enemy attempts to counterattack in the area of the DAP and Vremyevka were repulsed.
In the Marinka area - no changes. In general, positional tendencies dominate here. The enemy also continues to shell the Donetsk agglomeration.
2. Artemovsk direction.
The battles for the fortified area in Opytnoye continue. The village itself is under the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Fighting is going on in the industrial zone on the eastern outskirts of Artemovsk. The asphalt plant near Veselaya Dolina is controlled by Wagner PMC.
The enemy, at the expense of the reserves collected in Chasov Yar, undertook limited counterattacks in the Kurdyumovka area. Frontline changes here are minimal.
3. Soledar-Seversk.
The front here has completely switched to positional warfare. The pace of advancement in Soledar is low. The enemy periodically counterattacks north of Soledar.
Our people press on Belogorovka.
In the area of disputed - positional battles.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine have not yet given up hope of trying to break through to the Lisichansk Oil Refinery and Novodruzhesk.
4. Svatovo-Kremennaya.
In the Krasnolimansky direction, fighting is underway in the area of Terna and Torskoye. The enemy has strengthened his grouping here.
Torskoye - under the control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The enemy did not refuse plans to throw to the Svatovo-Kremennaya highway. Fighting continues to the west and north-west, where in some areas our troops pushed the Ukrainian Armed Forces a little, but in general, the main task here is to stabilize the front, as the enemy continues to try to break through the front to the north-west of Svatovo at the expense of available reserves.
5. Kherson direction.
The enemy launched a series of attacks on the Krivoy Rog and Nikopol directions. Didn't succeed, suffered losses. In general, the situation on the front line is still quite stable, despite rumors about a possible withdrawal of Russian troops across the Dnieper.
The command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine declares that Russia, on the contrary, is preparing Kherson for defense.

Footage after the repulsion of an attack by the AFU on DPR positions near #Donetsk airport. During the battle 4 enemy armoured vehicles with infantry hit a minefield and were caught in the crossfire.
An AFU armoured group breaking through towards the runway was dispersed and partially destroyed. The infantry also suffered casualties. The bodies of 22 Ukrainian militants were left lying in the fields after the clash.
Timely detection of the enemy from the air made it possible to disrupt the attack and destroy half of the advancing armoured vehicles. Another attempt by the AFU to regain positions near Donetsk ended in failure and the loss of at least an infantry platoon.

⚠️ Today at 4.20 am, the Kiev regime carried out a terrorist attack against the ships of the Black Sea Fleet and civilian ships that were on the outer and inner roadsteads of the Sevastopol base.
◽️The attack involved nine unmanned aerial vehicles and seven autonomous maritime drones.
💥The prompt measures taken by the forces of the Black Sea Fleet destroyed all air targets.
💥When repulsing the terrorist attack on the outer roadstead of Sevastopol, four marine unmanned vehicles were annihilated by shipborne weapons and maritime aviation of the Black Sea Fleet, and three more were destroyed on the inner roadstead.
◽️Minor damage was received by the sea minesweeper Ivan Golubets as well as the floating net boom in Yuzhnaya Bay.
◽️It should be emphasised that the ships of the Black Sea Fleet that were subjected to the terrorist attack are involved in ensuring the security of the ‘grain corridor’ as part of an international initiative to export agricultural products from Ukrainian ports.
◻️The preparation of this terrorist act and the training of military personnel of 73rd Marine Special Operations Center were carried out under supervision of British specialists in the city of Ochakov, Nikolayev region in Ukraine.
◽️According to the available information, representatives of this unit from the British Navy were involved in plotting, organising, and implementation of the terrorist attack in the Baltic Sea on 26 September this year to blow up the Nord Stream 1 and Nord Stream 2 gas pipelines.

The UN Human Rights Commission has presented a report detailing war crimes in Ukraine. It is true that in the majority of cases, according to the authors, the Russian military is to blame for them. It is noteworthy that many paragraphs and entire chapters of the report are based on obvious fakes.
Even those that have been officially recognized as lies, as was the case with the disinformation from the dismissed Commissioner for Human Rights of Ukraine, Lyudmila Denisova. The woman herself admitted making up reports about women and children being raped by Russian soldiers. But apparently the commission was not embarrassed by this.

The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation continue the special military operation.
◽️In the Kupyansk direction, as a result of the active actions of the Russian troops, two reinforced companies of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and a unit of foreign mercenaries were defeated close to Timkovka, Ivanovka, Tabayevka, and Krakhmalnoye (Kharkov region). More than 70 Ukrainian personnel and militants, one tank, two infantry fighting vehicles, two armoured personnel carriers, and ten cars were annihilated.
💥Near Staroverovka (Kharkov region), two U.S. HIMARS MLRS installations, four tanks, 15 vehicles, a muniton depot, and 43 Ukrainian militants were neutralised by a missile strike.
◽️ In the Krasny Liman direction, the enemy carried on unsuccessful attacks by tank and motorised infantry companies in the direction of Chervonopopovka (Lugansk People's Republic).
💥 Artillery fire and army aviation strikes eliminated more than 70 Ukrainian personnel, four tanks, two armoured combat vehicles, and three pickup trucks.
◽️ In the Nikolayev–Krivoy Rog direction, the AFU launched five attacks by company tactical groups in the directions of Mylovoye, Sukhanovo, Pyatikhatki, Ishchenko, Bruskinskoye, and Sadok (Kherson region).
💥 As a result of the fire damage and successful actions of the Russian troops, the enemy was thrown back to the initial positions. More than 60 Ukrainian personnel, 17 armoured fighting vehicles, and 12 cars were destroyed.
💥 Unmanned aerial vehicles strikes successfully eliminated a Buk-M1 anti-aircraft self-propelled missile system and two U.S. M777 howitzers near Vysokopolye and Novogrigorovka (Kherson region).
💥 Operational-tactical and army aviation, missile troops and artillery neutralised nine AFU command posts close to Petropavlovka and Ivanovka (Kharkov region), Dopropolye, Zvanovka, Torskoye, and Vodyanoye (Donetsk People's Republic), Trifonovka, Andreyevka, and Davydov Brod (Kherson region) as well as 68 artillery units in firing positions, manpower and military equipment in 189 areas.
💥 Two ammunition depots were wiped out in the areas of the settlements of Novoaleksandrovka (Kherson region) and Kolodezi (Donetsk People's Republic).
💥 Fighter aviation of Russian Aerospace Forces has shot down 1 MiG-29 of Ukrainian Air Force near Prishib (Nikolayev region).
💥 Russia's Air Defence shot down 14 unmanned aerial vehicles close to Arapovka, Svatovo, Raevka, and Rudovo (Lugansk People's Republic), Elenovka and Shevchenko (Donetsk People's Republic), Burchak (Zaporozhye region), Novokamenka, Mylovoye, Klapaya, and Charivnoye (Kherson region).
💥 In addition, nine shells of the U.S. HIMARS MLRS were shot down near Novaya Kakhovka, Olgino, and Otradokamenka (Kherson region), as well as eight American HARM anti-radiation missiles close to Zelenovka and Antonovka (Kherson region) and Svistunovka (Lugansk People's Republic).

A new 50/50 prisoner-of-war exchange between Russia and Ukraine took place today. This time, the head of the DPR, Denis Pushylin, was the first to announce the exchange, while the release of Russian servicemen was confirmed by the Russian Defence Ministry.
On the Ukrainian side, the head of the presidential office, Andriy Yermak, reported in detail about the exchange. According to him, Russia has extradited to the AFU:
▪️ 12 National Guard fighters, including 2 Azov fighters.
▪️ 18 servicemen of the Navy.
▪️ 8 border guards from the State Border Service of Ukraine.
▪️ 9 Territorial Defence fighters.
▪️ A total of 3 AFU servicemen and 2 civilians.
According to video footage from the Ukrainian side, the exchange took place near the village of #Kamenskoye in #Zaporozhye Region.
Once again, the Ukrainian leadership has confirmed that the AFU soldiers will be the last to be returned: #Kiev is prioritizing nationalists, who are being made into heroes for state propaganda.
And yet the Ukrainian authorities are once again giving the exchange as much publicity as possible. The net is flooded with photos and videos of healthy, unharmed and satisfied Ukrainians returned from captivity. Biographies of the exchanged Ukrainians are replicated in all national media, they are celebrated as heroes.
The only thing known about the released Russian servicemen is that they are being transported to Moscow for treatment, among them 9 servicemen of the DPR and LPR.

On 29 October, Ukrainian armed forces, under cover of the humanitarian corridor created as part of the "Black Sea initiative" for the removal of Ukrainian agricultural products, carried out massive air and sea strikes using drones against the ships and infrastructure of the Russian Black Sea Fleet at the naval base in Sevastopol.
In connection with the actions of the Ukrainian armed forces, led by British specialists, directed, among other things, against Russian vessels ensuring the functioning of the said humanitarian corridor (which cannot be qualified otherwise than as a terrorist act), the Russian side cannot guarantee the safety of the civilian dry cargo ships participating in the "Black Sea initiative" and is suspending its implementation as of today for an indefinite period. Instructions to this effect have been given to Russian representatives at the Joint Coordination Centre in Istanbul, which controls the transportation of Ukrainian food.
Without guarantees of safety for dry cargo ships, the "grain deal" cannot function. Suspension of Russia's participation in the "grain deal" removes any guarantees related to the operation of sea ports, terminals and granaries.
It may also be noted that the Russian agriculture minister said today that Russia is ready to supply its grain to world markets at affordable prices (as well as 500,000 tonnes free of charge), including fully replacing Ukrainian grain.
