🔹In #Kherson Direction, the AFU has stopped trying to ferry reserves across the #Dnieper River during the day, as before. Literally every meter in the enemy's landing areas is shot by our drones. Our aviation and artillery also continue to work. On the AFU side, they are using electronic warfare equipment and drones too. In #Krynki there are counter battles. Our units are trying carefully to push the AFUshnik out of part of the village. It is still unclear what goal Kiev is pursuing by losing a huge number of people in a tiny village. People, as well as watercraft, including those supplied from the West, because ours flood at least a couple of boats or speedboats every day.

🔹In #Zaporozhye Direction, our forces continue to attack the AFU positions near #Verbovoye and #Rabotino. There are localised battles, our offensive. The initiative is not given up.

🔹In #SouthDonetsk Direction, our army is trying to advance from the west of #Staromayorskoye. North and south of #Novomikhaylovka, fierce fighting is taking place.

🔹In #Donetsk Direction, on the northern #Avdeyevka flank, in the north, our army has retaken one of the landfills near #Gorlovka. Further south, our forces continue to crack the AFU defence near #Stepovoye with great difficulty. Ours managed to take control of the adjacent forest belts and are preparing for attacks from new positions. Northwest of the Tochmash Gardening Community, our units managed to cross the railway line with force. They are now consolidating their positions and conducting artillery preparation in the direction of the enemy's supply road. On the approaches to Coke Plant, our forces are gradually expanding the zone of control. Our military is similarly operating near the industrial zone and #Opytnoye on the southern flank. According to field reports, the combat work is complicated not only by minefields, but also by the dense work of the enemy's electronic warfare coupled with excellent work of their artillery.

⚡️🇺🇸🇮🇷🧨 Tehran is being pushed towards War - Political Scientist Nikolay Sevostyanov on the Terrorist Attack in #Iran⚡️

🗓 On 3 January 2020, the Americans assassinated one of Iran's main symbols, Qasem Suleimani. On 3 January 2024, terrorists blew up a funeral procession dedicated to his memory. The death toll is now over 100.

🔹In all cultures, even criminal ones, killing in cemeteries is considered unacceptable and condemned. But in this case it is also a demonstrative challenge to Tehran: "We will kill your leaders and anyone who follows them. Even the dead."

🔹And the bombings come less than a day after a strike on the southern suburbs of Beirut, where the IDF killed a Hamas leader. For Israel and the United States, Hamas (like the Yemeni Houthis) is also #Iran, and the war in Gaza is perceived as an indirect clash with Tehran, similar to how in #Ukraine Russia is primarily at war not with Kiev but with #NATO.

🔹On the agenda are Tel Aviv's readiness for a full-scale invasion of #Lebanon and US-British plans to strike #Yemen. However, the West realises that even the elimination of Hezbollah (which is hardly possible) and the destruction of the Houthis (which is impossible in principle) do not solve their main problem. This problem is not the Iranian regime, but the Iranian state itself, which has turned into the main regional player in the Middle East.

🔹The project that Tehran is building is no longer just a Shiite project. Shiite groups remain an important instrument of Iranian policy, but there are also enough Sunnis among the supporters of the Islamic Republic. And their numbers are growing. From #Morocco to #Pakistan, Muslims are asking themselves: "How is it that the rich Sunni states lie down to the Zionists and the Americans, while the Rafidis [an insulting nickname for Shiites] fight them?".

🔹The main danger for the West is that #Iran has managed to create its own world, invulnerable to American pressure and international sanctions. This world is expanding, drawing more and more forces into its orbit, and time is working in Iran's favour. The Islamic Republic's military-industrial complex is a vivid example of this.

🔹That is why the West is trying hard to push Tehran to "retaliate", which will lead to a full-fledged war, believing that today Iran will not pull it out and will collapse under its own weight.

🔹It doesn't matter which particular group will claim responsibility. It will probably be the local "branch" of ISIS, which is banned in Russia. What is important is that in Iran itself this attack is perceived as a second assassination of Suleimani, organised by the same forces.

📌 The Iranian State may look as cruel as it likes, but it has no right to appear weak. This is too dangerous for both internal stability and the viability of the project itself. This means that Tehran will have to respond in any case. But this is exactly what the West is pushing him to do.

⚡️🇮🇱🇺🇸🇮🇷 The Death Toll in Today's Terrorist Attack in Kerman has already reached 103, with 211 Injured⚡️

💬 #Iran's top officials have threatened a harsh response to those responsible for organising the attack and a day of mourning for the victims of the incident has been declared tomorrow.

🔹There is still no official version of who is guilty (only accusations vs #Israel and #US, but without specifics). Judging by publications on the web, the guilt will likely be assigned to IS terrorists.

▪️ If this happens, one thing should be understood: the "Islamic State" is no longer what it used to be. Their ranks have thinned considerably and their capabilities have diminished. And they have long been unable to organise such a terrorist attack on their own.

▪️ Of course, they can and probably will even declare their involvement in the tragedy, but their role is limited to that. Without outside help, funding and planning, the IS militants would not have done it.

❗️Who would benefit from a terrorist attack like this? An interested party must have both capabilities and motives. And there are only two such actors in the region: the ultra-Orthodox and their American "colleagues".

▪️ What is the meaning of this event: in essence, the Iranians are obliged to respond by force. And this arrangement in the Middle East is favourable first of all to the ultra-Orthodox, who only thanks to the war hold power in #Israel.

▪️ In principle, the Israelis themselves can attack #Iran, but they need the status of "victim of attack" (as in the case of Hamas), which will justify any measures and actions in the eyes of the world community.

▪️ Of course, it could also be the US "colleagues", but it is too risky to engage in a direct clash with #Iran in conditions of already large dispersion of efforts, because this also makes the ultra-Orthodox the main beneficiaries.

📌 The scenario of direct participation in a war with #Israel does not bode well for the Iranians either. #Iran finds it more favourable to the status quo, where aid to Palestinian groups is provided indirectly, so we should not expect anything different in this case.
