#BREAKING | Two people — believed to be University of Kent students aged 18–21 — have died following an outbreak of invasive meningococcal disease in the Canterbury area, UK.

A further 11 individuals are seriously ill in hospital with symptoms of meningitis and septicaemia. The UKHSA has reported 13 cases identified between March 13–15, and the specific strain is not yet identified.
