Update - Pro-government groups continue targeting Tishreen Dam

Since this morning, the armed groups affiliated with Damascus Government are systematically targeting the Dam of Tishreen and all the area around with heavy weapons including tanks, canons and field guns.

Projectiles have directly clashed with the body of the dam in addition to the villages around and the worker residencies that causes a critical threat to live of the civilian and a disastrous threat to the infrastructure.

These hostile attacks came in a time where the situation needs to be more calm and ensuring, the basic services this represents a dangerous escalation and a blatant violation of cease fire agreement.

The continuous of such actions will lead to more tension and threat the stability of the region. We hold Damascus government fully responsible for these violations and their dire consequences. We affirm the right of legitimate defense to defend our people and forces against any threats and attacks.

توضيح رسمي بشأن الادعاءات المتداولة حول التجنيد في الرقة

تداولت بعض الجهات ادعاءات كاذبة حول قيام قوّاتنا، بعمليات وصفوها "تجنيد" للشبان في مدينة الرقة. يهمّنا التأكيد بشكل قاطع أنّ هذه المزاعم عارية تماماً عن الصحة ولا أساس لها من الواقع.

ما جرى هو تنفيذ عمليات تدقيق أمني روتينية في إطار التحقق من الهويات الشخصية والتثبّت من سلامة الأوراق الثبوتية، وذلك ضمن الإجراءات الأمنية المتبعة للحفاظ على استقرار وأمن المنطقة وحماية الأهالي من أي خروقات.

إننا في قوات سوريا الديمقراطية نرفض بشكل قاطع محاولات التضليل والتشويه التي تستهدف جهودنا في ترسيخ الأمن والاستقرار، ونهيب بوسائل الإعلام تحرّي الدقة والاعتماد على المصادر الرسمية في استقاء المعلومات.

تحديث ميداني – شمال الرقة

هاجمت مجموعة مسلّحة مجهولة إحدى آلياتنا العسكرية أثناء تحرّكها على طريق قرية المعيزيلة شمال الرقة. أسفر الهجوم عن إصابة اثنين من مقاتلينا بجروح متفاوتة.

وعلى الفور، قامت قواتنا بتمشيط المنطقة وملاحقة المتورطين، فيما تستمر عملياتنا الأمنية لتعقّب الخلايا التخريبية التي تحاول زعزعة أمن واستقرار المنطقة.

تؤكد قواتنا، أن مثل هذه الهجمات لن تثنيها عن مواصلة مهامها في حماية المدنيين وضمان الأمن في شمال وشرق سوريا.

Update – North Raqqa

An unidentified armed group attacked one of our military vehicles while it was traveling on the road near the village of al-Mu’ayzilah, north of Raqqa. The attack resulted in two of our fighters being wounded.

Our forces immediately conducted a sweep of the area to pursue those involved. Security operations are ongoing to track down the terrorist cells attempting to destabilize the region.

Our forces affirm that such attacks will not deter us from continuing our mission to protect civilians and ensure security across North and East Syria.
