Some updates / notes

Launch date: An understandable common question is when are we launching. Our intention was to launch this month, but that has now been pushed back slightly. The first thing to reiterate is its in our best interest more than anyone else in the world, to launch today if we could. There is zero benefit in the team delaying the launch beyond for the benefit of the project. One of the things we've noticed in crypto is that narratives follow cycles....in every single ecosystem or project. I won't mention names but you can virtually go to any pre launch company in crypto - go to their community, and its the same / similar questions being asked.
The cycle works something like..*.1. Pre launch everyone hammers the team pushing for a fast launch so they can 5x their bags (which makes sense). 2. The team then forces through a faster date due to complaints, meaning the product is either not ready, or there is a flaw somewhere which will come back to bite the project later. 3. Users complain about the company not having products working properly / at all and leaves for the next hype cycle.*

It's important to not get caught in these cycles - it doesn't benefit the project, the users, nor the holders. Our values is focused towards innovation and development. Its why we're in 2023, and this is still the first live TV network with underlying blockchain technology - because its not easy to do, and its not something that can just have a token thrown out onto exchanges without significant infrastructure and analysis around it. Fortunately we have nearly all but all finished on this cycle - but its important to reiterate - this is a TV network - not a simple defi swapping app, not a copy of an existing project like 99% of companies are - so things take time, we've been building this for 18 months+ and counting.
However, we are completely understanding to any frustrations - but please understand that its *all in good time* and the launch date update is imminent. To clarify it will 100% be this summer, but the exact fixed date will follow in due course. Those who follow Script Network can see we are very very close, but due to some teething issues and delays out of our control, we had to delay our launch date. We apologise for this delay however, we are actually annoyed that we weren't able to launch in the exact time we said we would, but its common in every industry to have launch delays, and to be honest, is never seen as a negative outside of web3 (Apple Vision Pro is being released 5 years later than planned, 10 years in the making)

Other notes...
Testnet: If you have a @ Validator node role on discord, you now have tokens deposited in order to run a validator node - let us know if you have any queries on this by heading to the #🤙︱testnet-feedback channel

If you are looking to run a Lightning node, you will have the tokens over the coming hours in your Script Wallet. The reason why Validator and Lightning node process is manual is due to the amount of users requesting from faucet exceeding the total supply of the token - leading to the faucet crashing. I guess this is a good problem to have of course - but to ensure everyone has a smooth testnet, we had to restrict it as such.

If you're looking to run a Edge Node, you can simply just request Edge node tokens from faucet as per previous instructions.

To receive @ v2 Lightning Node and @ v2 Script Edge Node roles on discord - head to Zealy to complete the respective tasks (there is no new role for v2.5)

GLASSPASS: Lastly, If you're on the WL to mint a GLASSPASS you should have the @scriptlistverified role. If you have a @ scriptlist role please ensure you verify in the scriptlist channel on discord ASAP

Hey all! Happy August - here are a few updates

🥽GLASSPASS Launch date: We will be launching GLASSPASS in August. Holders benefit simply from holding or burning. There is a bonus benefit from holding a GLASSPASS not yet revealed also. 💰Token Launch date: We are completely aware this is is a common question, given the fact we are now in August. We have a lot of moving parts and we are pushing to launch at the soonest date possible. We are also of course pushing to give an exact date as soon as possible, but the general answer is September. We want to reiterate that it is of course in our best interest to launch as soon as possible - and if anything - the fact we delayed to ensure the protocol is even better than it was yesterday, should be seen as a positive. That said, we understand the frustration and questions - i'd do the same too! But this is a TV platform, on its own network, meaning everything from blockchain security, pools, content licensing, streaming IP, reward structure and much more must be vigorously worked on. We've worked tirelessly to bring what would take many 5+ years to build, and condensed it by working 16 hours+ per day, 7 days a week - to bring the best possible experience to everyone.

However in short - September.
Reason: the reason for the delay is because of some significant improvements were needed to be made to the indexing protocol and our data APIs for our reward structure. This was only able to be revealed through intense long term machine learning and testing - which we thankfully done over this summer. Important that we always state that this is innovation and many things could go wrong, BUT, its also important to clarify that what
we done is look ahead to potential issues and fix them. This is what most protocols dont do....hence why they fall apart 6-12 months after launch. We are building for the next 5-10 years, not weeks. To compensate this, we will be further lowering our Fully diluted valuation and making some tokenomics changes to make it an even more lucrative opportunity for all token holders. More on this soon.

🐛Bugs: Excited that we have *finally* fixed the long standing issue that caused users who used VPNs in their connections - to be fixed. We also have resolved over 20 other bugs across the platform. Just a reminder / clarification on some frequently asked questions regarding GLASSPASS 🥽

1. GLASSPASS is a collection of identcal NFT 'glass passes' which, once minted, will allow users to do one of two things. Either hold it - and burn it at launch for the rarest pair of glasses (Superscript) - meaning you simply earn more per day than others OR, you hold, and you get beta access to features, gated community, off chain rewards (like event tickets) alongside an added SCPT airdrop for holding it. The additional SCPT tokens are only given to those who hold a GLASSPASS @ the time of the snapshot.

2. Script Points - which are allocated to tasks completed on Script TV (like watching TV), has nothing to do with GLASSPASS. Script Points is for swapping (at launch) for standard glasses. In short Script Points exists so everyone can benefit pre launch - whilst not having to buy extra NFTs on launch to start earning. In short - you can start earning simply by having enough points.

3. You can have as many GLASSPASS NFTs as you like = the more you have, the more you benefit (see point 1). There will be a wallet limit for minting on launch though.

4. The GLASSPASS mint will be launching this month, and will be progressive. No tight pushy deadlines - simply because there is no need - its a utility NFT that derives almost all of its value from once Script Network goes into mainnet. 5. The exact price, where and when it launches will be announced here first. Do not listen to any stories, hearsay or speculation.

6. The GLASSPASS mint time of going live, or ending, has no bearing on the token launch window. If you want to know more on this, please see above announcements.

7. Those with the scriptlistverified / scriptlist will be notified first and thus, get the chance to mint before the rest. After this presumed window, everyone else will get a chance to mint, (if the mint is still open ofc). If you want to get on Script list, please stay active, as we have weekly games, events and competitions where spots are given away.
