The Russian House in New Delhi invites you on January, 19 to a literary evening dedicated to the 120th anniversary of the Russian Soviet children's writer, screenwriter, journalist, and war correspondent Arkady Gaidar. The meeting is organized jointly with the Indian society of writers and poets “Parichay Sahitya Parishad”.
Arkady Gaidar (real name Golikov) was born on January 9 (22), 1904 in the city of Lgov in the Kursk province. He was a participant in the Civil (1918-1922) and Great Patriotic (1941-1945) wars. A classic of children's literature, known mainly for short stories and novels about sincere friendship and military camaraderie.
The literary evening starts at 5:30 p.m.

Residents of Gaza will receive 30 tons of aid from Russia
Humanitarian aid collected on the initiative of the Government of the Republic of Bashkortostan.
The cargo includes:

🔹blankets;
🔹personal hygiene items.
Humanitarian aid will be delivered to Egypt and handed over to representatives of the Egyptian Red Crescent Society, who will redirect it to the Gaza Strip.
Since the beginning of the humanitarian mission, the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations has delivered about 420 tons of aid to the population of Gaza.

More than 100 students and applicants attended the presentation of Russian sports universities, held by the Russian House in New Delhi with the assistance of the All-India Student Council and the World Organization of Students and Youth.
The co-organizer was the Russian Ministry of Sports. Six higher educational institutions under his jurisdiction took part in the online conference: Far Eastern State Academy of Physical Culture, Volga Region State University of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism, Russian University of Sports "GTOLIFK", Moscow State Academy of Physical Culture, National State University of Physical Culture, Sports and Health named after P.F.Lesgaft, Smolensk State University of Sports.
Universities presented their educational programs and sports that their students master, showed educational buildings and sports facilities, and talked about the history of their institutions.
In the second half of the meeting, employees of the Russian House spoke about the possibilities of admission to these academies and universities, highlighting in detail the scholarship program of the Government of the Russian Federation as one of the most accessible options for obtaining a sports education in our country.

This is how Marshal Zhukov described January 18, 1943. The day when, as a result of Operation Iskra, Leningrad regained land communication with the rest of the country by the forces of the Leningrad and Volkhov fronts with the air support of the Baltic Fleet.
The blockade lasted 872 days. Almost all this time, communication with the city was maintained only by air and through the "Road of Life" — the only transport highway on the ice of Lake Ladoga.
It was decided to deliver the main blows in the narrowest part of the German defense salient — near Shlisselburg. On January 18, during fierce fighting, the Red Army broke through the encirclement ring. On the southern coast of Lake Ladoga, a narrow "corridor" 11 km wide was formed for the supply and evacuation of the population. Three weeks later, the railway was laid, and the first trains with food and ammunition went to Leningrad, and the power supply improved.

The winners will share a prize fund of $500,000.
