Erzya is an ethnic group of the Mordva, formed in the middle of the first millennium of our era.

The beliefs of the people combined both pagan and Christian traditions, worshiping ancestor spirits and sacred trees. For the role of temporary priests, performing religious rites, they elected revered elders among their fellow villagers.

Erzya wedding traditions are divided into 3 stages: pre-wedding, wedding and post-wedding. The bride was chosen by the groom's side, taking into account the welfare of the family and the health of the future wife. Then the dowry was discussed and the rite of setting the wedding’s date was held.

The Erzya women's traditional costume was considered the pinnacle of the people's material culture: it combined exquisite patterns, adherence to rites and folk symbolism. The costume was a long shirt, richly decorated with embroidery. An obligatory and important element was the belt adornment - pulai. It indicated a woman of childbearing age and the better it was decorated, the richer her family was considered. It could weigh up to 8 kg.

About 6 thousand teachers from new regions of Russia have received advanced training at Russian universities. In May 2022, universities-curators began to conduct advanced training programs at universities located in Lugansk, Donetsk, Zaporozhye and Kherson.

A teleconference was held at the Russian House in New Delhi between students of Indian universities and Sergey Kunyaev, Director General of the Russian literary magazine “Nash Sovremennik”. In the Russian House, on the eve of the New Year, together with the Indian Association of Russian Compatriots, they summed up the results of the annual children's drawing competition. Watercolors and gouaches were dressed in baguettes made of precious woods, which made the canvases sparkle with completely new, professional shades.
There were hardly enough frames for the drawings of the pupils of the art studio of the Russian House (conducted by Ekaterina Pokrovskaya), young Indians and children of compatriots from Bangalore, Kochi and Goa, orphans of the Mala Smriti Home orphanage in the capital.
An exhibition of children's drawings will decorate the traditional New Year's Tree party in the Russian House.
