From politicians to athletes, from Hollywood stars to musicians - it seemed like all the world's celebrities were here. The cathedral that adorns Moscow's Red Square is the center of attention, yet it continues to hold many secrets of the past that have to be revealed.
On October 27 at 6:30 p.m. we invite you to the Russian House to watch the film “St. Basil’s Cathedral”, made by Russian free-to-air documentary TV channel RT-doc.
The film has been translated into Hindi.
The author tells about some little-known facts related to the construction of the temple, its consecration and its name. He talked with archaeologists leading excavations here and artists, for whom the cathedral became an inexhaustible source of inspiration. He also visited the bell tower and the roof of the temple, very close to the painted domes.
On October 6, a non-profit screening of the film “Opolchenochka” (“Militia Girl”) took place at the Russian House in New Delhi. The filming took place on the territory of the Lugansk People's Republic, and this is the first film from the Lugafilm film studio.
“Opolchenochka” tells the story of a female tank crew. They lost relatives, experienced betrayal and violence.
The film is with subtitles in English.
The film premiered in Russia at the beginning of 2021.

In the Nizhny Novgorod region of Russia there is Lake Svetloyar, in which, according to legend, the mythical Kitezh city hid. In India, there is a similar legend about the city of Krishna, Dwarka, which plunged into the depths of the sea.
Russian and Indian artists - Maxim Pridanov and Aakshat Sinha - traveled to Svetloyar, lived and painted there. The Russian painter and thinker Nicholas Roerich also worked on this topic, creating the painting “The Battle of Kerzhenets.”
On October 13 at 16:00, the exhibition “Fabulous Miracle of Existence” opens in the Russian House, dedicated to the legends of Russia and India (Kitezh and Dwarka that sank under water, others), and the Year of the Roerichs, which will be celebrated in 2024.
Maxim Pridanov is a member of the Union of Artists of Russia and the International Federation of Artists.
15 artists are participating from the Indian side.
We are waiting for you at the “Fabulous Miracle of Existence”.
Free admission.

Each of them has his own story, his own life path, dreams and plans. They have only one thing in common - pure, true, sincere love... for the lake. They consider it their place of power. They could have moved to a big city a long time ago, but decided to stay: some returned to their small homeland, others, on the contrary, exchanged the rhythm of the metropolis for a quiet outback.
Five heroes, five stories of aspirations and victories and one amazing lake. The film is about how local residents and those for whom this region has become a “place of power” live on a land with a harsh climate, how they pacify the elements, what they do and why they don’t leave for big cities.
One of the most beautiful documentaries this fall is a portrait of a unique water area.
