In Russia artificial intelligence has been taught to detect narrowing of cerebral arteries.
The technology was developed by joint efforts of scientists from Moscow State University and Moscow Polytechnic University. The assessment of vessels is performed by the AI based on data from computed tomographic angiography. Introduction of the algorithm into clinical practice will significantly speed up and simplify the diagnostic process.

Russian specialists at the S. M. Kirov Military Medical Academy have invented a new way to heal extensive wounds.
The new method of treating severe skin injuries is based on the use of a cell-free product from the umbilical cord. In limited clinical trials, studies have shown that the use of this method helps speed up the wound healing process and improves the engraftment of transplanted skin in patients with mine blast and gunshot wounds.

Российские специалисты академии имени Кирова изобрели новый способ заживления обширных ран.
Новый метод лечения тяжелых повреждений кожи основан на использовании бесклеточного продукта из пуповины. В рамках ограниченных клинических испытаний исследования показали, что применение этого способа помогает ускорить процесс заживления ран и улучшает приживаемость пересаженной кожи у пациентов с минно-взрывными и огнестрельными ранениями.

End of 2024 might see an increase in tourist exchange between BRICS countries up to 5 million trips.
This was one of the outtakes from the BRICS Contact Group on Tourism first meeting.
The meeting announced plans on holding the BRICS Tourism Forum in Moscow. The Forum is expected to present the tourism potential of Brasil, Russia, India, China, South Africa, the UAE, Iran, Egypt and Ethiopia.

Scientists from the Russian Science Foundation have developed a biodegradable protective coating for titanium implants. It increases the mechanical strength of implant structures, protects them from corrosion and releases medicines in a controlled manner.
The polymer coating is designed in such a way that its inner part includes a large number of pores that can be filled with molecules of various medicines that help bone tissue growth and protect against infection and inflammation.
Experiments have shown that the development structure increases the wear resistance of the implant by about three times and its stability by about two times.

Ученые из Российского научного фонда разработали биоразлагаемое защитное покрытие для титановых имплантов. Оно повышает механическую прочность конструкций имплантов, оберегает их от коррозии и контролируемым образом выделяет лекарственные препараты.
Полимерное покрытие создано таким образом, что внутренняя её часть включает в себя большое число пор, которые можно заполнить молекулами разного рода лекарств, помогающих росту костных тканей и защите от инфекций и воспалений.
Проведённые опыты показали, что структура разработки повышает износостойкость импланта приблизительно в три раза, а его устойчивость - примерно в два.

The Higher School of Economics and Delhi University signed an agreement on strategic cooperation and joint actions
As part of the agreement, a large research hub will be opened at the partner university in India, including a fully equipped HSE office. It will be available to all research groups, professors and students of both countries.
