3 марта в 18:00 часов Русский дом в Нью-Дели совместно с Индийской ассоциацией российских соотечественников представляет музыкальную программу, посвященную 150-летию со дня рождения великого русского композитора, дирижера и пианиста Сергея Рахманинова.

Основу концертного репертуара составляют миниатюрные сочинения Рахманинова для фортепиано и других инструментов, вокала, а также известные произведения других русских композиторов, которые его вдохновляли, таких как Чайковский и Глинка.

В концерте примут участие профессиональные российские и индийские артисты, а также молодые музыканты из Дели.

On March 3 at 6 p.m., the Russian House in New Delhi, jointly with the Indian Association of Russian Compatriots, presents a musical program dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the great Russian composer, conductor and pianist Sergei Rachmaninov.

The basis of the concert repertoire is Rachmaninov's miniature works for piano and other instruments, vocals, as well as well-known works by other Russian composers who inspired him, such as Tchaikovsky and Glinka.

Professional Russian and Indian artists, as well as young musicians from Delhi will take part in the concert.

A ceremonial meeting dedicated to the 106th anniversary of the birth of Indira Gandhi, a famous politician and the only woman Prime Minister of India, was held at the Russian House in New Delhi.

The meeting was organized by the Russian-Indian Friendship Society, which was founded by the first head of the Indian government, Jawaharlal Nehru.

Indira Gandhi came to Moscow nine times and, thanks to Russia, built a strong India. The Soviet Union provided Delhi with enormous scientific and technical assistance. The development of India's space program would have been impossible without Russia, the meeting participants noted.

At the evening in memory of Indira Gandhi, the Secretary General of the Friendship Society Dr. R.B. Singh, ex-MP Jai Parkash Aggarwal, co-chairman of the general council of the International Union of Non-Governmental Organizations "Eurasian Peoples' Assembly" Dalbir Singh and others spoke.

The siege of Leningrad is one of the most tragic pages in the immortal chronicle of the Great Patriotic War. During the 872-day siege, about a million people died in the city.
The exhibition presents photo-documentary materials that reveal the main events of the tragic history of the siege, about life in surrounded Leningrad, about the courage and perseverance of Leningraders who defended their hometown.

On March 22, at 18:30 at the Russian House in New Delhi the opening of the exhibition of the International Centre of the Roerichs "The Master's Universe" will take place. It is dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding Russian artist, thinker and public figure Nikolas Roerich (1874–1947).
Co-organizers of the exhibition: the Russian House in the Republic of India, the National Centre of Public Diplomacy for the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in Russia, the International Roerich Memorial Trust with the support of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Republic of India and the International Union of Non-Governmental Organizations the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly.
The exhibition presents 174 photographs from the Roerichs' archive, several dozens of banners reflecting the main milestones of Nikolas Roerich's creative path, more than 20 reproductions of his paintings on canvas.

An exhibition dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the reunification of Crimea with Russia has opened at the Russian House in New Delhi.
There are actually two exhibitions. The first talks about the positive path that Crimea, since 2014, has taken to prosperity and progress as a restored part of Russia.
Deputy Head of Russian Diplomatic Mission to India Roman Babushkin illustrated the last decade of the peninsula’s life with real facts. Prominent Indian public figure Dalbir Singh, who in 2014 became the only observer from India at the 2014 referendum, also spoke at the Russian House.
Another section of the exhibition is about Euromaidan. “This is a shameful page not only for Ukraine, but also for the collective West,” Indians noted at the exhibition.

Photo exhibitions from the Russian news agency TASS archives, dedicated to the 40th anniversary of the flight of India's first cosmonaut Rakesh Sharma, opened in Russian Houses in India - in the capital, in Calcutta, Chennai and Trivandrum. Guests of Russian cultural centers were greeted via video link by Rakesh Sharma himself, who lives in Bangalore. On April 11, the exhibition will open at the Russian House in Mumbai.
In New Delhi, the exhibition brought together 40 photographs telling about the preparations for the flight of the Soviet-Indian crew, about Sharma’s stay on board the Salyut-7 station, about how the cosmonauts were greeted on Earth.
“It was a historic flight. And today, Indian astronauts who are preparing to go into space on the Gaganyaan spacecraft have undergone training in Russia,” said Sanjeev Varshney, head of the department of international cooperation of the Indian Ministry of Science and Technology.

The 20th e of the Indian Association of Teachers of Russian Language and Literature (INDAPRYAL) was solemnly celebrated at the Russian House in New Delhi. More than 50 professors from all regions of India took part in the event.The congratulatory address of MAPRYAL President Mr Vladimir Tolstoy was read to the guests. INDAPRYAL President Prof. Charanjeet Singh and Dr. Meenu Bhatnagar presented a report on the work of the organization to the guests.
Counselor-Envoy Mr Roman Babushkin addressed the audience on behalf of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in India. He congratulated INDAPRYAL on its anniversary and noted that the Russian language, which is the official language of international organizations such as the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and the United Nations, is now again gaining popularity among Indian students. He stressed that this is due to the development of bilateral economic cooperation, but cultural ties are traditionally strong between the countries, the most striking example of which is the life and work of Nicholas Roerich, whose anniversary is celebrated in Russia and India this year. Dr. Elena Remizova, Head of the Rossotrudnichestvo in India, noted the change in the social portrait of an Indian student studying Russian today and took the initiative to support young Russian teachers. The representative office and INDAPRYAL agreed to hold a conference of young teachers, as well as to develop a plan of joint activities for the coming year.
