🇷🇺 #OTD, on September 14, 1959, 65 years ago, the Soviet automatic interplanetary station "Luna-2" reached the surface of the Moon, becoming the first man-made object to touch another celestial body.

🌓 Launched on September 12 from the Baikonur Cosmodrome, "Luna-2" made a journey that ended in the Sea of Rains region near the craters Aristillus, Archimedes and Autolycus.

🟣The "Luna-2" mission was the second most important event in the history of cosmonautics after the flight of Yuri Gagarin, demonstrating the advanced achievements of the Soviet space program. Major scientific achievement is the first direct measurement of the solar wind and confirmation of the Moon's lack of a significant magnetic field and radiation belt.

📆 #OTD, on October 2, India celebrates the 155th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, a great son of the Indian nation and all humanity. Inspired by Leo Tolstoy's ideas on non-violent resistance to evil, Gandhi turned them into a powerful political teaching that changed the course of history.

💬 Mahatma Gandhi's strength lay in his willingness to engage in dialogue with even the most difficult opponents. His methods of passive resistance, including the famous Salt Satyagraha, demonstrated the effectiveness of non-violent struggle against colonial oppression and led to India's independence.

🟣Even today, his ideas on justice and dialogue continue to inspire people, and his legacy serves as a guiding light for the entire world.
