🙋♂️ Photographers aged 18 to 33 can submit their applications on the competition website in Russian, English and Chinese.
✅ Competitive applications for 2024 are open until March 15 inclusive.
🏆 The prize fund of the 2024 competition will be 125, 100 and 75 thousand rubles for first, second and third place in each category. The winner of the highest award of the Stenin competition - the Grand Prix - will receive 700 thousand rubles.
The Andrei Stenin International Photojournalism Competition (https://stenincontest.ru/) was established on December 22, 2014 by the media group “Russia Today” under the auspices of the Russian Federation Commission for UNESCO.
The competition is the only platform in Russia that opens new names in photojournalism, develops its high standards, and forms criteria for the quality of documentary photography.

⭕Getting to know the regions of Russia and the art of making documentaries — all this in the program "New Generation"
Young journalists from abroad took photos in national costumes of Yamal, took volcanic stones from Kamchatka as a souvenir, touched the gold of Yakutia and listened to the sounds of the sea from the shells of Primorye. This is how the delegates went on a tour of pavilion No. 75 at VDNKh, where all regions of Russia are represented.
➡️ Foreigners also visited the pavilion "World of Digital", where they got acquainted with technologies and their application in life. Participants were able to communicate with Russian voice assistants — Marusya and Alisa, which can be used in the smart home system.
Then the journalists returned to the RT Arabic TV channel, where a master class on producing documentary films "From Idea to Result" was held. Together with an experienced director, the participants analyzed the series of short films "Why Russia" and discussed techniques for holding the attention of viewers. The day ended with work in groups on multimedia materials, which the delegates will soon present for publication in the media. 🖥

Молодые журналисты из-за рубежа сделали фото в национальных костюмах Ямала, взяли на память вулканические камни Камчатки, потрогали золото Якутии и послушали звуки моря из ракушек Приморья. Так прошла экскурсия для делегатов по павильону №75 на ВДНХ, где представлены все регионы России.
➡️ Также иностранцы посетили павильон «Мир цифры», где познакомились с технологиями и их применением в жизни. Участники смогли пообщаться с российскими голосовыми помощницами — Марусей и Алисой, которых можно использовать в системе умного дома.
Затем журналисты вернулись на телеканал RT Arabic, где прошёл мастер-класс по продюсированию документального кино «От идеи до результата». Вместе с опытным режиссёром участники разобрали серию короткометражек «Why Russia» и обсудили приёмы удержания внимания зрителей. День закончился работой в группах над мультимедийными материалами, которые делегаты совсем скоро представят для публикации в СМИ. 🖥

The cultural program was no less eventful: a tour of the historical center of Moscow, the cultural center Khlebozavod, the Exhibition of Achievements of National Economy.
📍 Ahead is an acquaintance with the work of one of the largest private media in the country - the Kommersant newspaper, a visit to the office of the Russian social network - "VKontakte", as well as a walk along the Moscow River.

Special correspondent of the Vzglyad newspaper, Yuri Vasiliev, helped young professionals find answers to these questions. As a result of the conversation, the participants learned what professional problems a journalist has to face and how to solve them.
📱 The program of the day continued with a visit to the VKontakte office. The company's employees told the participants about the ecosystem of services that allow you to create and promote multimedia content. They shared techniques for developing blogs that allow you to effectively attract an audience and increase its engagement.
➡️ The final event of the program was the defense of media projects. Each of the 9 country teams presented their video and journalistic project. The guys shared their intercountry ideas and initiatives, such as creating cards with gastronomic delights of our countries or a joint investigation.
