Archaeological materials from all epochs of human civilization development have been found in these caves: from the Paleolithic to the Middle Ages. При поддержке Представительства Россотрудничества в Индии и Индийской ассоциации российских соотечественников в Индию впервые приехал Дед Мороз из г. Великого Устюга.
Он прогулялся по Дели, встретился с индийскими детьми и взрослыми.
Дед Мороз также посетил знаменитый монумент "Ворота Индии", расположенные в г. Нью-Дели, встретился с индийскими школьниками и студентами, которые горячо приветствовали его и были в полном восторге.
Каждый хотел сфотографироваться с главным сказочным персонажем новогоднего праздника.
В конце прогулки Дед Мороз поздравил всех с наступающим Новым годом и пожелал добра и сказочного настроения!

He walked around Delhi, met with Indian children and adults.
Father Frost also visited the famous monument "India Gate" located in New Delhi, met with Indian schoolchildren and students, who warmly welcomed him and were completely delighted.
Everyone wanted to take a photo with the main fairy-tale character of the New Year's holiday.

🎄 Decorating a Christmas tree with your family is one of the main New Year traditions in Russia. But how did it come about? We'll tell you!
✨ Peter I spied this custom in Europe. There is an opinion that in Moscow at that time they did decorate "trees" - with sweets and toys - but in the houses of foreigners who preserved the traditions of their homeland.
After Peter's death, only drinking establishments were decorated with spruce - taverns were found by their Christmas trees.
😄 If you have a habit of not taking down your Christmas tree for a long time after the holidays, know that the owners of the establishments could leave the decorations up until the next New Year. And the first public Christmas tree was installed in St. Petersburg in 1852.
🔴 How was the main New Year tree decorated? At first with fruits, flowers, later - with pine cones, sweets, nuts, candles. Later, they decorated the trees with toys made of wax, cardboard, cotton wool, and foil. At the end of the 19th century, electric garlands were hung on the trees instead of candles.
🪖 During the First World War and up until the 20th century, trees were sometimes cancelled and sometimes allowed again. But in 1938, a 15-meter tree with thousands of decorations and toys was installed in the Moscow House of Unions. It was installed annually and children's parties were held - "New Year's trees".
😍 In the 1960s, the tree became a symbol of the holiday and was displayed in almost every home. It was decorated with glass balls, toys, and paper garlands.
The tradition of decorating the tree has survived to this day. Russians decorate the main New Year tree in the family circle and invite Father Frost and the Snow Maiden to visit. ❤️

💻 From January 13 to April 15, 2025, a distance Olympiad on the history and culture of St. Petersburg will be held.
Schoolchildren and students of state and non-state educational institutions aged 14-18, living both in Russia and abroad, are invited to participate.
The Olympiad will be held in 3 stages:
1⃣ qualifying
2⃣ intellectual
3⃣ creative

📅 The results will be announced on April 15, 2025.
