Стартовал прием заявок на первый грантовый конкурс Президентского фонда культурных инициатив 2025 года
Участвовать в нем могут коммерческие и некоммерческие организации, а также индивидуальные предприниматели.
✍🏻 От творческих команд ждут проекты по одному из девяти тематических направлений. Они могут быть посвящены литературе или театру, ярким страницам истории России или этнокультурному разнообразию страны, поддержке молодых талантов или креативным индустриям.

⚗ Siberian paleontologists found fish and cockroaches from the Jurassic period
Scientists and students from Tomsk State University conducted research at sites in the Irkutsk and Kemerovo regions. During the work, together with colleagues from neighboring regions, paleontologists found parts of fish and ancient cockroaches aged 180 million years.
“As for the fish found, Ialepis Rohona is not a new genus, but the tail sections of this fish were not previously known when it was described. And here we came across several whole specimens. Among the insects, there were also interesting finds of dragonflies, cicadas - with very large wings, about four centimeters. Wings of ancient cockroaches were also found. These are not the same "Prussians" that now live in houses, but something similar to Madagascar cockroaches. It turns out that they also lived in the south of Siberia," says Stepan Ivantsov, senior researcher at the Micropaleontology Laboratory and associate professor at the Department of Paleontology and Historical Geology at the TSU Geological and Geographical Faculty.
The authors noted that the Irkutsk Basin had special burial conditions. This allowed not only individual bones to be preserved, but also soft tissues.

Ученые и студенты Томского государственного университета провели исследования на местонахождениях в Иркутской и Кемеровской областях. В ходе работы вместе с коллегами из соседних регионов палеонтологи нашли части рыб и древних тараканов возрастом 180 млн лет.
«Что касается найденных рыб, иялепис Рохона не новый род, но ранее при его описании не были известны хвостовые отделы этой рыбы. А тут нам попались несколько целых экземпляров. Среди насекомых также были интересные находки стрекоз, цикад — с очень крупными крыльями, сантиметра по четыре. Найдены также крылья древних тараканов. Это не те „прусаки“, что сейчас живут в домах, а что-то похожее на мадагаскарских тараканов. Оказывается, они тоже жили на юге Сибири», — рассказывает старший научный сотрудник лаборатории микропалеонтологии, доцент кафедры палеонтологии и исторической геологии геолого-географического факультета ТГУ Степан Иванцов.
Авторы отметили, что в Иркутском бассейне были особые условия захоронения. Это позволило сохраняться не просто отдельным костям, но и мягким тканям.

"I am sure that the knowledge and abilities of such guys will contribute to the technological leadership of the country in the future - the national goal outlined by our President Vladimir Putin," Dmitry Chernyshenko emphasized.
🎉 Sergey Kravtsov noted the importance of developing the Olympiad movement in Russia.
"The domestic Olympiad movement allows us to identify talented students who will become future Kurchatovs and Landaus. In addition, the successes of our guys inspire their peers to engage in science, strive for new knowledge and achievements," said the head of the Russian Ministry of Education.
📝 The Russian participants prepared for the competition at a training camp at the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology. The head of the Russian team is Mikhail Osin, associate professor of the General Physics Department at MIPT.

🟡 Kaliningrad Forts
In the 19th century, when Kaliningrad was part of Prussia and called Koenigsberg, the construction of forts began. The purpose was to strengthen the city from possible attacks. The forts were connected by a network of underground passages and trenches, which allowed the garrison to move and defend effectively. Today, many of them are open to the public and serve not only as historical monuments, but also as places for cultural events.
🟡 Kant's Island
If you are on this island - be sure to visit the Cathedral (https://sobor39.ru/en/)! It is a building of the XIV century, built in the Gothic style. There is a museum inside it which is dedicated to Immanuel Kant, and not far away is the philosopher's grave.
🟡 Amber Museum
After visiting the cathedral, we advise you to visit the Amber Museum, which contains jewelry and household items made of amber from the Neolithic Age (IV - II thousand BC) to the present day.
🟡 World Ocean Museum
For science lovers and tourists with children, we recommend checking out this museum. There are several expositions dedicated to the world ocean and its inhabitants. You can also visit the research vessel “Vityaz”, submarine B-413 and “Cosmonaut Viktor Patsayev” - this is the last surviving ship that was serviced by the Russian Mission Control Center.

⚓️ Today, on July 28, Russia celebrates Navy Day! Our country is among the world’s biggest naval powers and possesses everything it needs to protect our national interests in the world’s oceans.
The true origin of Russian naval traditions was the October 30, 1696 decree of the Boyar Duma on the construction of a regular fleet, accepted upon the recommendation of Peter the Great.
👉 For 328 years the ships of the Russian Navy and their crews have been guarding the borders and national interests of our Fatherland. The chronicles of our heroic Navy include triumphant naval battle victories, round-the-world cruises and great geographical discoveries.
The Navy Fleet of the Russian Federation is the successor of the Navy Fleet of Russia and the Navy Fleet of the Soviet Union. Structurally, the Russian Navy consists of five operational-strategic units: the Northern, the Pacific, the Baltic, and the Black Sea fleets and the Caspian Flotilla.
We are proud of the heroic history of the Russian Navy, and we cherish the memory of our naval commanders and sailors!

⏺Russian scientists have proposed a new method for analyzing blood without blood sampling
Researchers from our Research Center in the field of AI and the Scientific and Technical Center of Biomedical Photonics of the I.S. Turgenev OSU are developing a neural network that will determine the content of leukocytes in the blood with an accuracy of 90%.
This will help to create a new method for analyzing blood. Its advantage will be efficiency - you can find out the composition of the blood without wasting time waiting for laboratory results.

Научные сотрудники нашего Исследовательского центра в сфере ИИ и НТЦ биомедицинской фотоники ОГУ имени И.С. Тургенева разрабатывают нейросеть, которая определит содержание лейкоцитов в крови с точностью 90 %.
Это поможет создать новый способ анализа крови без укола. Его преимуществом станет оперативность — узнать состав крови можно будет не тратя время на ожидание лабораторных результатов.
Новый способ учёные представили на ИИ-конференции ICLR в Вене. Описание эксперимента опубликовано в сборнике научной конференции.

Indian student bags a prestigious Russian scholarship
