Games of the Future will be held in Tatarstan

From February 21 to March 3, Kazan will host the first ever Games of the Future.

This is an international multi-sport tournament in the digital format. The sports show will combine competitions in physical and digital dimensions.
It will be attended by more than 260 experienced teams and more than 2 000 athletes from different countries in 21 innovative disciplines in the areas of sports, tactical, battle, speedrun, technical.

🥇🥈🥉Russian ice sculptors took all the prizes at the competition in China

Teams from Russia took all three prizes at the 35th International Ice Sculpture competition in Harbin, China. In total there were about 30 teams and 70 masters from Russia, China, Spain, Italy, Mongolia, Peru and South Korea.

☃️ The team from Troitsk won gold for the composition “Morning Fishing”, second and third places were taken by masters from Yakutia. The jury also awarded 9 more special awards for best skills and creativity.

This year, more than two thousand sculptures were built in the administrative center of the northern province of Heilongjiang, using 250 thousand cubic meters of ice and snow.

Команды из России заняли все три призовых места на 35-м международном конкурсе ледовых скульптур в китайском Харбине. Всего было около 30 команд и 70 мастеров из России, Китая, Испании, Италии, Монголии, Перу и Южной Кореи.

☃️ Золото завоевала команда из Троицка за композицию «Утренняя рыбалка», второе и третье места заняли мастера из Якутии. Жюри также присудило еще 9 специальных наград за лучшие навыки и креативность.

В этом году в административном центре северной провинции Хэйлунцзян построили более двух тысяч скульптур, использовав 250 тысяч кубометров льда и снега.

Do you know when the prototype of the world's first orbital station was sent into space?

🛰 55 years ago on 16 January, two Soyuz-4 and Soyuz-5 spacecraft docked together. Four Soviet cosmonauts lived and worked on this prototype for several hours.

On 14 January, the Soyuz-4 spacecraft, piloted by Vladimir Shatalov, took off. And on 15 January, Boris Volynov, Alexey Eliseev and Yevgeny Khrunov went into space on the Soyuz-5. On 16 January, the two spacecraft docked in Earth orbit. The difficulty was that the cosmonauts had to go into open space to transition between the ships, as there was no pressurised transition compartment.

🚀 Khrunov and Eliseev returned to Earth on Soyuz-4 together with its commander Shatalov. About a day later, the Soyuz-5 landed with Boris Volynov on board. The flight of Soviet cosmonauts made possible the appearance of the Salyut, Mir and ISS stations.

🛰 55 лет назад 16 января состоялась стыковка двух кораблей «Союз-4» и «Союз-5». На этом прототипе несколько часов жили и трудились четыре советских космонавта.

14 января стартовал космический корабль «Союз-4», пилотируемый Владимиром Шаталовым. А 15 января на «Союзе-5» в космос отправились Борис Волынов, Алексей Елисеев и Евгений Хрунов. 16 января на орбите Земли оба корабля состыковались. Сложность была в том, что для перехода между кораблями космонавтам пришлось выходить в открытый космос, так как не было герметичного переходного отсека.

🚀 На Землю Хрунов и Елисеев возвратились уже на «Союзе-4» вместе с его командиром Шаталовым. Примерно через сутки приземлился «Союз-5» с Борисом Волыновым на борту. Полет советских космонавтов сделал возможным появление станций «Салют», «Мир» и МКС.
