🇷🇺 “The Russian people are one of the most easily assimilated. Tens of millions of Russians living abroad may sooner or later stop associating themselves with Russia. We need our compatriots. Therefore, I believe that repatriation is a noble task,” - head of the Federal Agency Rossotrudnichestvo Yevgeny Primakov said this on November 14 at a meeting with students of the North Caucasus Federal University. He also emphasized that the Agency in Stavropol has a partner - the NGO “The Way Home” - who helps at all stages of moving to Russia.
More than 200 students and high school students came to ask the head of Rossotrudnichestvo questions that interested them. They talked about geopolitics, the problem of personnel drain, Russia’s interaction with foreign countries and the demand for Russian education among foreigners. 💬
🔴 Primakov noted that there are several industries where Russian specialists are strong: medicine, programming, art. These are our “premium products” and we work with them.
“We need to understand how we can interest foreigners, so that they want to learn Russian and accept our culture, and are interested in cooperation. There needs to be mutual benefit, then we will have stronger allies and a stronger understanding,” Primakov noted.

🌐 Rossotrudnichestvo, together with the Inspirers NGO and with the assistance of the Foundation for Support and Protection of the Rights of Russian Compatriots Living Abroad, launched an online educational course for compatriots. Its participants will be about 80 people from 40 countries.
The training program lasts one and a half months and consists of three thematic blocks. During this time, participants will study the theory of community formation, ways to maintain interest in community life, and become familiar with the basics of organizing, conducting and meaningfully filling projects. They will also learn about possible forms of interaction between Russian business and compatriots living abroad.
💬 Deputy Head of Rossotrudnichestvo Dmitry Polikanov expressed hope that modern approaches to project implementation will take compatriots’ events to a qualitatively new level.
“We hope that thanks to this course you will gain new knowledge and skills that will later help you implement your own humanitarian initiatives,” Polikanov noted.
🗣 The head of the “Inspirers” movement, Alexey Chumakov, emphasized the importance of building communities of like-minded people to achieve goals and spoke about the experience of his organization in this area.

Among the participants are outstanding directors, artists, musicians, leading experts, heads of the largest cultural organizations in Russia and other countries. The program includes three thematic blocks: “Knowledge of history through culture”, “Artificial intelligence - a threat or benefit to culture”, “Traditional culture as the foundation for building a civilized society”.
📰 On the first day of the forum, the head of the Russian Ministry of Culture Olga Lyubimova signed cooperation agreements with the ministries of culture of Guinea, Djibouti, Laos, Eritrea, Tajikistan and South Ossetia.
On November 17, the laureates of the first Hermitage Prize “For achievements in the field of culture and art, preservation of cultural heritage and strengthening of international cultural dialogue” will be awarded. The prize will be awarded annually to two iconic cultural figures in Russia and the world. 🥇

‘ICE ROSES’ bloom in Taymyr
This very rare, natural phenomenon was filmed by security officers in the Taymyr Nature Reserve (the Russia’s Far North). The ice flowers appeared on the ‘Lake Sobachye’ cordon.
The "roses" form on the surface of a thin layer of fresh ice and reach up to 10 cm in height.
For this to occur, the temperature under the ice must be around zero degrees Celsius, the air temperature around -15°C with no wind. Due to the temperature difference on the ice surface, the air condenses, forming such crystals. However, as soon as the thickness of the ice increases, the “flowers” disappear.
