Russian schoolchildren received three gold and one silver medals at the 34th International Olympiad in Informatics 2022!

A team from Russia performed tasks remotely, on the campus of the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology. The guys have been preparing for participation for more than a year, being selected from 80 applicants.

The Olympics have been held annually since 1989 in Indonesia. Founder of the IOI is UNESCO. This year schoolchildren from 90 countries of the world took part in it.

Команда из России выполняла задания дистанционно, на базе кампуса Московского физико-технического института. Ребята готовились к участию более года, будучи отобранными из 80 претендентов.

Олимпиада проходит ежегодно с 1989 года в Индонезии. Учредитель — ЮНЕСКО. В этом году в ней приняли участие школьники из 90 стран мира.

Tourist potential of St. Petersburg will be presented abroad
Several countries abroad will show the tourist opportunities of the Northern capital at once. The presentation will take place in the format of a road show in autumn 2022. The host country will be Vietnam, India, United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia.
Participants will learn about current routes and new points on the tourist map of St. Petersburg.

Did you know how the first railroads appeared in Russia?

The history of railroads in Russia began in 1834, when the famous foreign engineer Franz von Gerstner who was thoroughly studying this emerging type of transportation in Europe, arrived in Russia to review mining plants in the Urals.

After touring the country, he proposed building a network of railroads in the Russian Empire. In January 1835, Franz von Gerstner submitted a note drafted for Russian Emperor Nicholas I where he outlined the potential value of railway transportation for a country like Russia.

On August 16, young Russian compatriots from different countries on their trip under the "Hello, Russia" program, got acquainted with the history of the city of Samara.

The guys visited the Chirch of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, then an unusual place awaited them - the bunker of Joseph Stalin during the Great Patriotic War. The participants descended 12 floors underground.

Then everyone went to the embankment of the Volga river and took pictures, and then visited the Pyotr Alabin Local History Museum.

After such a rich program, the guys went to the Samara Academic Opera and Ballet Theater.

16 августа юные соотечественники познакомились с историей города Самара в рамках программы "Здравствуй, Россия!"

Ребята посетили Храм Пресвятого Сердца Иисуса, затем их ждало необычное место - бункер Иосифа Сталина времён Великой Отечественной войны. Участники спустились на 12 этажей под землю.

Затем все отправились на набережную, любовались Волгой и фотографировались, а затем посетили историко-краеведческий музей имени Петра Алабина.

После такой насыщенной программы ребята отправились в Самарский академический театр оперы и балета.

The project is organized by the Center for Analysis and Forecasting of Union Integration Processes together with the Gorchakov Foundation and the Center for the Study of Integration Prospects.

Foreign media workers and bloggers, as well as future international experts, economists, lawyers, political scientists, historians and journalists are invited to participate. Age of participants - from 18 to 28 years.

As part of the media school, which will be held from October 9 to 13, 2022 in Pskov, Russia, experts and participants will discuss the work of new media and their impact on the information agenda, issues of digital security and media literacy, and study the most effective tools for news transmission and data visualization.

On August 18, 2022 the International Film Festival will be opened in Moscow

Films with the participation of Russian actors will be presented at the Let's Live film festival. This year it is dedicated to the Day of Russian Cinema and the 100th anniversary of the formation of the USSR.

The competition will be held in three categories:
• Feature film
• Documentary film
• Short feature films

In the first category - films from Russia, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan. In the second - from Russia and Israel. The third category will be represented by Russian and Kazakh films.

The film program will be shown at the Central House of Cinematographers and on Poklonnaya Hill. The festival has been held since 2011, and since 2021 it has received the status of an international event.

18 августа в Москве откроется Международный кинофестиваль
Фильмы с участием российских актеров представят на кинофестивале «Будем жить». В этом году он приурочен ко Дню российского кино и 100-летию со дня образования СССР.

Конкурс пройдет в трех категориях:
• полнометражное игровое кино
• документальное кино
• короткометражное игровое кино
В первой категории — фильмы из России, Киргизии и Узбекистана. Во второй — из России и Израиля. Третья категория будет представлена российскими и казахстанскими картинами.
