Students visit Russian House in Kolkata ahead of the Indian Independence Day
On 12 August 2022, students of the Harimati Girls' High School visited Russian House in Kolkata to attend a collectors' exhibition "Call of the Freedom" ahead of the Independence Day of India. The students took a tour of the exposition and interacted with the collectors.
Russian House in Kolkata is grateful to all participating collectors and partners of the exhibition and congratulates Indian citizens with the 75th anniversary of the Independence Day!

"I am glad that "Day of India" is organized on such a special occasion: on August 15, we celebrate the 75th anniversary of Independence," said Indian Ambassador to Russia Pawan Kapoor at the opening of the festival "Day of India" in Moscow.
In the capital of Russia a real "little India" was opened for everyone in the amusement park "Dream Island": meditations, master classes in yoga and ayurveda, performances by Indian drummers, and much more.
The holiday was dedicated to a significant date: the 75th anniversary of the independence of India and the establishment of Russian-Indian diplomatic relations. In honor of this, guests of the festival planted 75 trees in the park.
The chess stand also deserves special attention, because on July 28, the 44th World Chess Olympiad was held in the Indian city of Chennai, and ex-world champion Vishwanathan Anand became the first vice president of the International Chess Federation (FIDE).

20 октября в Москве стартует Первый международный гуманитарный форум «Культура России в современном мировом пространстве».
В нем могут принять участие студенты, магистранты, аспиранты и ученые из разных стран мира. Для этого им необходимо подготовить тезисы по одной из тем: «Русский язык и литература в межкультурной коммуникации» и «Медиа и журналистика в современной цифровой среде: опыт России и Африки».
Мероприятие пройдёт в гибридном формате на русском и английском языках. По итогам работы форума планируется издание сборника тезисов.
Заявки на участие принимаются до 5 сентября включительно. Тезисы по первой секции присылать по электронной почте: [email protected], по второй: [email protected]

On August 16 we remember of one of the most beloved by the public Soviet actors - Andrei Mironov (7 March 1941 - 16 August 1987).
Having lived for only 46 years, he left us an invaluable legacy of his roles in theater and cinema. His subtle manner of play and inimitable comedic talent are admired all over the world today. We propose once again to recall his best roles.

Russian schoolchildren received three gold and one silver medals at the 34th International Olympiad in Informatics 2022!

A team from Russia performed tasks remotely, on the campus of the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology. The guys have been preparing for participation for more than a year, being selected from 80 applicants.
The Olympics have been held annually since 1989 in Indonesia. Founder of the IOI is UNESCO. This year schoolchildren from 90 countries of the world took part in it.
