The Exhibition of Achievements of the National Economy (#VDNH) is the largest exhibition and entertainment complex in the world and one of the most popular public spaces in Moscow. VDNKH is visited by 33 million people annually. The Exhibition of Achievements of the National Economy received its first visitors on August 1, 1939.
On 325 hectares there are historical pavilions, arches, museums, ponds, parks, alleys, fountains, flower beds and sculptures — a total of 49 objects of cultural heritage.
At VDNH, you can see outstanding architectural masterpieces of the past, including the monument "Worker and Kolkhoz Woman", fountains "Friendship of Peoples" and "Stone Flower", pavilions "Agriculture", "Soviet Culture", "Cosmos" and others. But the innovations of VDNH are striking in scale and beauty: for example, in 2019, the largest ice rink in Europe was opened here. From August 7 to October 10, the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly holds the international competition "Smart Solutions of Cities: East-West". Young scientists will be able to make new contacts and exchange experiences on urban greening, infrastructure restoration, and creating an accessible and safe urban environment.
The competition is open to master students, postgraduates or young researchers from Russia, the UAE, Syria, Egypt, Jordan, Morocco.

The Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District will restore 13 social facilities in the town of Volnovakha in the Donetsk People's Republic. They include seven buildings of the railway hospital with a total area of 7 000 square metres, a school, a dormitory, a blood transfusion station, a culture center and a college. The buildings will be repaired, prepared for the heating season, and provided with furniture and necessary equipment. The district is sending construction materials and specialists to the city to repair the facilities.
Works on the medical building of the railway hospital are scheduled to be completed in September, and the culture center will be reconstructed by the end of the year. It is expected that the reconstruction of the school will be finished by the start of the school year.

Every spring Kalmykia hosts one of the country's most colorful events - the Tulip Festival. Among fields variegated with flowers, Kalmyks and guests of the region admire the beauty of nature and take part in wrestling, archery, and camel races. The main idea of the festival is the preservation of Red Book tulips and the promotion of Kalmyk culture.
From July 30 to August 6, an interregional Lotus Festival takes place in Kalmykia. Hundreds of tourists come to admire these flowers every year. Lotus in Buddhism symbolizes purity and perfection, because, growing out of mud and silt, it remains beautiful. Lotus is a symbol of the republic, its image is on the state flag of Kalmykia.
The Kalmyk calendar is a series of holidays: the day of tea, the day of the steppe. One of the main holidays is Zul, an analogue of the New Year celebration. On this day, lamps, bonfires are lit and the ritual of walking in a circle with fire in their hands is performed.

Russian scientists have created a tool for the rehabilitation of patients who have suffered craniocerebral injuries and have been immobile for a long time. The special suit "Regent" was developed at the Taraskul Foundation Rehabilitation Centre. It will help patients to restore walking skills and train the vestibular apparatus, forcing muscles to send impulses to the brain.

7,000 citizens from the people's republics found work in Russia with the assistance of Rostrud and the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Russian Federation. In total, about 10 thousand people turned to Russian employment centers.
To date, the database of vacancies contains more than 90 thousand job offers, of which about 17 thousand are with the provision of housing.
Citizens arriving in Russia can find work in such specialties as a doctor, paramedic, obstetrician, nurse, as well as a design engineer, trolleybus driver, teacher, waiter, cook and salesman.
The Ministry of Labor also reported that a special section "Information for forced arrivals" was opened on the main page of the portal "Work of Russia":

At the beginning of the 18th century, coffee in Russia was drunk only by courtiers and only at the grace of the emperor. In this article Russia Beyond will trace the difficult journey of coffee to the country of kvass and tea lovers.
The first mention of coffee is found in Russian documents dating from 1665, when it was prescribed to tsar Alexei Mikhailovich as medicine for bloating, headache and runny nose. It is not known whether it helped the tsar at the time, but Peter the Great (who ruled the country from 1682 to 1725) was the one who really got a taste for coffee during his trip to the Netherlands in 1697.
