However, later the deputy head of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Zaporozhye region, Alexei Selivanov, said that the incident was qualified as a terrorist attack. According to updated data, none of the residents were injured.

Toward evening, another explosion thundered in the same region, but this time it was really organized by Ukrainian militants. The Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Melitopol reported that a terrorist attack occurred near the building of the department, as a result of which four people were injured.

According to Vladimir Rogov, a member of the main council of the military-civilian administration of the Zaporozhye region, the power of the triggered device was 700-800 g of TNT. It was placed in a trash can next to the facility. In connection with this event, security measures will be strengthened in the city.
