🗓 On September 12, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov took part in a roundtable discussion titled “The Ukraine Crisis: Terrorist Methods of the Kiev Regime.” The event involved ambassadors and representatives from 72 diplomatic missions of Global Majority states, accredited in Moscow, and international organisations.

In his remarks, the Minister noted that the Kiev regime was not even trying to hide its terrorist essence, with the connivance and direct support of Western patrons. After failing to defeat our country on the battlefield, Kiev has focused on criminal attacks against civilian facilities; it is futilely trying to cause a maximum public outcry, to destabilise the work of Russia’s state agencies and sow panic among people.

At the same time, the “collective West” continues to supply the Kiev regime with attack weapons and give it a carte blanche to use them on Russian territory against peaceful residents and civilian infrastructure facilities.

Numerous facts of terrorist attacks, including those against nuclear power plants, were mentioned. Information about Kiev’s role in organising a terrorist attack at the Crocus City Hall concert facility, as well as the crimes of Ukrainian neo-Nazis in the Kursk Region, was provided separately.

The event participants discussed the Kiev regime’s support for international terrorism on the African continent, the investigation of attacks that wrecked the Nord Stream 1 and Nord Stream 2 gas pipelines and Kiev’s attempts to blackmail its European partners by shutting down oil transits.

The Minister touched upon numerous facts of the Kiev regime’s efforts to terrorise its own population, specifically, the eradication of all things Russian, including the Russian language, and persecution of the canonical Ukrainian Orthodox Church.

The event participants gained an insight into the Foreign Ministry’s report on the terrorist crimes committed by the Kiev regime.

The Minister also touched upon other issues, including prospects for a negotiating process to resolve the Ukraine crisis and food security, and he also replied to questions from participants in the roundtable discussion.

❗️ The Foreign Ministry's Ambassador-at-Large on the Kiev Regime's War Crimes Rodion Miroshnik continues to meticulously record the most heinous crimes of the Kiev regime.

📖 Another digest focuses on the war crimes and terrorist acts of the Kiev regime in the Kursk Oblast.

On the night of August 5-6, AFU militants opened a massive mixed fire on the Kursk Oblast using aviation, UAVs, precision attack missiles, rocket and cannon artillery. <...> At about 6 a.m., the first units of Ukrainian militants crossed the state border of the Russian Federation at several sections and subsequently entered a number of towns and settlements.

The attacks were launched deliberately, in blatant disregard for international humanitarian law (IHL). From the outset of the foray, private houses and residential buildings, healthcare and education institutions, premises of local authorities and social institutions were hit.

On 6-10 August, AFU militants expanded their presence in the Kursk Oblast and deployed additional forces to gain a foothold in a number of settlements in the Sudzha and Korenevo districts. The Ukrainian military's actions in these territories can be qualified as punitive.

Between August 12 and 17, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation managed to achieve a considerable stabilization in the border areas of the Kursk Oblast. By that time, the Defence Ministry of the Russian Federation had drawn the full list of Ukrainian units involved in the terrorist attack against the Kursk Oblast.

According to highly reliable reports, militants of radical nationalist units such as Nachtigall were dispatched to the Kursk Oblast. There is evidence of the presence of Polish and Canadian mercenaries as well as fighters of the so-called "Georgian Legion" on the ground.

☝️ On 17 August, the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation confirmed that the seizure and damage of radiation hazard facilities forming part of the Kursk NPP had been one of the objectives of the AFU terrorist attack against the Kursk Oblast. The official regional authorities reported attempted strikes on the Kursk NPP with Tochka U missiles and combat fixed-wing UAVs as well as
MLRS systems.

Noteworthy is the fact that most AFU units involved in the foray into the territory of the Kursk Oblast, used intelligence obtained by Kiev from its "Western partners" and were equipped with NATO hardware and means of communication, while the soldiers used Western-model small arms.

▪️ According to the operations headquarters in the Kursk Oblast, as of the evening of 5 September, 31 people were killed and 236 civilians including 11 children were wounded in the AFU attacks.

During their foray, Ukrainian militants committed a number of war crimes against the civilian population of the attacked Russian border territories, including:

• the killing and wounding of civilians,
• violence, including sexual violence, against civilians,
• taking hostages and using civilians as human shields,
• looting and destroying private property in the captured territories,
• obstructing evacuation.

🎙 Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov’s address at the opening of the BRICS Media Summit (September 14, 2024)

Unofficial translation

💬 In a rapidly changing world order, BRICS increasingly acts as an innovatory interaction format uniting countries <...> with different political and economic systems, often with divergent views on certain aspects on the global agenda.

Key takeaways:

• During the years of joint work since about 2008, they have developed a special dialogue culture as well as open and confidential relations based on the principles of sovereign equality, respect for the choice of their own development path and unconditional account of each other’s interests.

• This form of cooperation is intended to become a model of equal interstate communication. Otherwise, it will be extremely difficult, if not impossible at all, to find answers to the challenges facing the world. There is no room for coercion or imposing alien priorities.

• BRICS is gradually turning to a centre of attraction for the Global South and East, which increasingly expresses the genuine interests of the World Majority.

• As new states join the BRICS, one of the unconditional priorities of collective work is to consolidate partnership within the association.

• We pay special attention to the development of interaction with the developing countries of the Global South and East. We are trying to attract them to various formats and mechanisms.

• Our efforts are undoubtedly focused on promoting favourable conditions for the progressive development of Russia and other BRICS nations.

• We expect that the media will make a tangible contribution to the success and unbiased coverage of the BRICS Summit (Kazan, October 22-24) and other events held by the association.

⚡️ Foreign Ministry Official Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova’s comment on the US’s most recent restrictions on Russian media

💬 As the United States continues to pursue a strict policy of total extermination of any dissent, the country launched another wave of restrictions against the Russian media and journalists.

On September 13, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken announced new sanctions against two Russian media holding companies, Rossiya Segodnya (RIA Novosti and Sriaputnik), autonomous non-profit organisation TV-Novosti (RT television channel and Ruptly video agency) and Eurasia NGO. The designations include Director General of Rossiya Segodnya Dmitry Kiselev and Head of Eurasia Nelly Parutenko. Importantly, the previous round of sanctions was announced just a few days ago, on September 4. At that time, restrictive measures were imposed against the same media outlets and RT Editor-in-Chief Margarita Simonyan, as well as a number of other RT employees.

The US law enforcement agencies have joined the persecution of Russian journalists with particular zeal. The house of an RT journalist was recently searched by about 20 FBI agents, who also subjected the Russian woman to humiliating procedures, in a blatant manifestation of lawlessness sanctioned from above. The Russian channel employee had to hastily leave the country fearing for her safety and health. More far-fetched charges have been brought against a number of Russian media employees and even US citizens who had the courage to appear on Russian media broadcasts. If arrested, they may face long prison sentences.

The current US administration is trying to justify the unprecedented repression against the Russian media in an extremely cynical manner by fighting against their “interference” in domestic political affairs. In fact, what we are witnessing is another politically motivated campaign, a witch hunt where deliberately fostered fear and spy mania are used by the ruling circles in the United States to manipulate public opinion and shield the population from any unwanted information.

☝️ Moreover, this time, Washington is trying to pose as the “guardian” of social stability and the integrity of democratic processes, while using totalitarian censorship practices not only in the country, but also far beyond its borders. Having finally trampled on its international obligations to ensure the pluralism of opinion and even the provisions of its own Constitution, the United States has actually declared war on freedom of speech around the world, now resorting to open threats and blackmail against other states in its effort to pitch them against the Russian media and establish sole control over the global information landscape.

They seem unable to come to terms with the growing popularity of Russian media in many countries as opposed to the one-sided and false picture of what is happening around the world painted by the Western mainstream media. This is Washington’s way to extend the notorious Monroe Doctrine to the media sphere.

We harbour no illusions about the rampant censorship in the United States ever being given a proper assessment by the relevant international organisations, whose activity is orchestrated by Washington. At the same time, we qualify their silence as approval of this practice and de facto complicity in the lawless actions against the Russian media.

❗️The actions of the American administration will not go unanswered.

✍️ I would like to extend warm greetings to the organisers, participants and guests of the 22nd Amur Autumn International Film and Theatre Festival.

Over more than two decades of its existence, your festival has garnered well-deserved acclaim as one of the key cultural events in the Russian Far East. It has become a popular platform for promoting the Russian cinema and theatre industry.

On September 10, the 79th Session of the UN General Assembly commenced. The Russian delegation is led by Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov. On September 28, he is scheduled to deliver remarks during the high-level General Debate, to be held on September 24−30.

Just as our partners in the Global Majority, we are committed to upholding the primacy of the goals and principles of the UN Charter in their entirety and interconnectivity. We will carry on our coordinated efforts against the West’s neo-colonial practices.

#Ukraine #KievRegimeCrimes

I cannot say that these crimes are on the conscience of the Kiev regime because they don’t have a conscience, just like their Western patrons. They are responsible for these crimes. What we should talk about in this case is not conscience but terrorism. The Russian law enforcement agencies register every crime, and those who commit them will be punished to the fullest extent of the law.

We call on the relevant international organisations to face up to these and other crimes committed by the Kiev regime, including terrorist attacks, and to respond to them appropriately.

#RussiaChina

Modern Russian-Chinese relations are a more advanced form of interstate ties compared to the military-political alliances of the Cold War era. There is no bloc or confrontational focus in them; they are not directed at third countries. This is really important.

We regard each other as priority foreign policy partners. Moscow and Beijing’s positions on the fundamental aspects of the modern world order and key international issues coincide or are very similar.

🎙 Russia's Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova:

💬 Back in March 2023, New York Times reporters Justin Scheck and Thomas Gibbons researched over 100 pages of documents from American “volunteer groups” in Ukraine and interviewed more than 30 mercenaries, fundraisers, donors to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and American and Ukrainian officials.

Among the biographies of inveterate swindlers and fraudsters they compiled, they also found... Who do you think? Ryan Routh, the shooter who was lying in wait for Donald Trump at a golf club in West Palm Beach. The former construction worker from Greensboro became infected with the idea of supplying cannon fodder for the Ukrainian armed forces and began searching for recruits among former Afghan servicemen who fled from the Taliban to neighbouring countries. He was going to smuggle them to Ukraine from Iran and Pakistan, and even bragged that he was planning to buy fake passports there, since Pakistan was “a very corrupt country.”

According to the notes, Routh gathered a well-suited company of his compatriots to help in his Ukrainian affairs. Well, sort of. Here's a few examples.

James Vasquez. Kiev hired him as a “valuable military specialist” who fought in Iraq and Kuwait, probably because he bragged about it on social media. In fact, Vasquez was not in Kuwait, Iraq, or anywhere else. He spent some time in the United States as a private reservist and specialised in repairing fuel and electrical equipment.
John McIntyre. He joined the International Legion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. For a long time, he presented himself as a “prominent expert” in intelligence. He defected to Russia at the first chance.
Malcolm Nance. An encryption specialist who served in the US Navy. It turned out that he was bullying his fellow servicepeople on social media and writing denunciations based solely on his own imagination. He fled the battlefield, taking cash with him, and later decided to make some money once again pretending to help the Kiev regime.
Ben Lackey. He pretended he was a Navy SEAL veteran while in fact working as waiter at an American steakhouse. At least this one had actually taken part in bloody “showdowns,” or rather butchering.
Grady Williams. A retired drug addict. He got a weapon somehow, fought a little in Ukraine and fled to Georgia, where he continues to participate in corruption schemes. He dreams of a motorcycle.

There are hundreds of stories like these.

And now the final flourish. Officials admitted to the journalists that they only spend 10 minutes checking the documents of a potential foreign fighter according to regulations. This means that anyone can end up in the Ukrainian armed forces, gaining access to firearms and explosives. That is why they shoot down planes with their own war prisoners as well as American F-16. This is also a reason why Russia is raising alarm trying to draw attention to the nuclear stations that are being systematically shelled by the Kiev regime.

Like a magnet, Zelensky attracts not just an incompetent rabble to Ukraine, but outright scumbags to his neo-Nazi fighters. Both Western readers of The New York Times and everyone else must know what is behind the curtains of the West’s comprehensive assistance to the Ukrainian Nazis, even at the level of these “people’s activists,” and think about what these people, who have not a shred of conscience, will do in their homeland when they get bored of playing defenders of Ukraine.

Those of them who survive [their mercenary tours, mentally & physically damaged] will return to the US.

And they will continue doing Routh’s work — i.e. shooting at their own POWs.

🗓 On September 16, Russia's Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates of the Arab Republic of Egypt Badr Abdelatty held talks in Moscow.

The Ministers specifically discussed a wide range of issues related to further dynamic development of the traditionally friendly Russian-Egyptian relations. They also reaffirmed Moscow and Cairo’s mutual commitment to establish comprehensive cooperation in accordance with the interstate Treaty on Comprehensive Partnership and Strategic Cooperation signed in Sochi in October 2018.

The Ministers noted the leading role of the Joint Russian-Egyptian Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation in increasing the volume of bilateral trade and expanding cooperation in industry, energy and agriculture. In this context, the implementation of large joint investment projects was highlighted, first of all the construction of the first nuclear power plant in Egypt, El Dabaa, and creation of a Russian industrial zone in the Suez Canal Economic Zone. The Russian Side reaffirmed its readiness to continue timely supplies of Russian grain products to Egypt.

🤝 The Ministers also discussed topical international and regional problems. Moscow and Cairo’s mutual intention to maintain coordination at the UN, #BRICS and other multilateral platforms was reaffirmed. It was noted that Russia and Egypt had similar approaches to resolving the ongoing crises and conflict situations in the Middle East and the African continent through political and diplomatic means in accordance with international law and the provisions of the UN Charter.

Sergey Lavrov informed Badr Abdelatty in detail about Russia’s fundamental assessments and considerations on the Ukrainian issue.

When discussing the situation in and around the Gaza Strip, the Foreign Ministers highlighted that it was necessary to cease fire as soon as possible and provide urgent humanitarian assistance to the people in the enclave. They also emphasised that a comprehensive peaceful Palestinian-Israeli settlement on a generally accepted international legal basis, which provides for the creation of an independent State of Palestine within the 1967 borders with its capital in East Jerusalem, was a priority.

The Ministers reaffirmed Russia and Egypt’s commitment to continue efforts aimed at prompt political settlement to the crisis in Libya, based on the principles of its unity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.

🌍 Special focus was placed on preparations for the first ministerial conference of the #RussiaAfrica Partnership Forum scheduled to take place in Sochi in November.
