Capitol Spies BOMBSHELL: GOP Congressman’s Office Illegally Snooped On

Rep. Troy Nehls has revealed the Capitol Police Intelligence Division entered his office without warning, photographed confidential documents, before questioning a staffer about the contents of their illegally obtained evidence.

Chip off the old Bloc: EU to Spend €43BN to Offset Massive Chip Shortage

The European Union is ready to use €43 billion ($48BN) to remedy a supply chain crisis over computer chips.

“The pandemic has also painfully exposed the vulnerability of its supply chains,” EU Commission president Ursula von der Leyen said. “We have seen that whole production lines came to a standstill. While the demand was increasing, we could not deliver as needed because of the lack of chips.”

The “chips act“ will pull the bloc's research and production efforts. It now awaits the backing of the EU parliament and states.

❗️Massive Fire, Explosion at California Industrial District

A four-alarm blaze has been captured on camera in the city of Orange, with an explosion reported at what's believed to be a mattress foam manufacturing business. (CBS)

Local firefighters arrived on the scene to put down the initial flames when the blast happened.

At least one storage area and two vehicles were destroyed during the incident, but no surrounding buildings appear to have been damaged. The cause of the fire is being investigated.

WHO Wants Rich States to Cough Up and End Covid

The World Health Organization (WHO) has announced it still needs more than $16 billion (previously $22BN) to bridge what's left of a funding gap for its ACT-Accelerator program, and said it could end the pandemic as a global emergency in 2022.

The Access to Covid-19 Tools Accelerator (ACT-A) is the WHO-led initiative that unites leading agencies in a bid to provide middle- and low-income countries with tests, vaccines, protective equipment, and other medical supplies needed to curb the pandemic worldwide.

“If higher-income countries pay their fair share of the ACT-Accelerator costs, the partnership can support low- and middle-income countries to overcome low Covid-19 vaccination levels, weak testing, and medicine shortages,” said director-general Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus.
