Tanzania has joined the International action "Garden of Memory"
Seedlings dedicated to fallen heroes in the Great Patriotic War were planted in Dar es Salaam.
The Russian Ambassador to Tanzania A.L. Avetisyan, The Chairman of the Department of Religious Education and Catechesis of the Patriarchal Exarchate of Africa, Archpriest Tigri Khachatryan, representatives of the Embassy, representatives of Rossotrudnichestvo, teachers and students of the school at the Embassy took part in this action. They all came to honor the memory of their heroes.

The Victory Festival in Dar es Salaam is coming to an end
Today, on May 8, the Russian House closes the First Contemporary Film Festival in Tanzania.
The demonstration of the tape movie "Meeting on the Elbe" by the Representative office of Rossotrudnichestvo with the support of the Russian Foreign Ministry completes the cycle of film screenings dedicated to Victory Day.
"For the first time in Tanzania, and perhaps in all of Africa, such a festival was held, which introduced us to the price at which victory in the Great War was achieved," says Boniface Thomas Assenga, Secretary General of the Alumni Association.
Tomorrow, May 9, the most devoted viewers of the festival will be invited to watch the Parade on Red Square, which will be organized in the Big Hall of the Russian House. The evening of May 9th will close with a big gala concert.

Сегодня 8 мая Русский Дом закрывает Первый фестиваль современного кино в Танзании.
Демонстрация ленты "Встреча на Эльбе" представительством Россотрудничества при поддержке МИД России завершает цикл кинопоказов, приуроченных ко дню победы.
"Впервые в Танзании, да и пожалуй во всей Африке, прошел такой фестиваль, познакомивший нас с тем, какой ценой была достигнута победа в Великой войне", - делится впечатлениями Генеральный секретарь Ассоциации выпускников Бонифас Томас Ассенга.
Завтра, 9 мая самые преданные зрители фестиваля будут приглашены для просмотра Парада на Красной площади, который будет организован в Большом зале Русского дома. Вечер 9 мая будет закрываться большим торжественным концертом.
