In August 2023 the Russian House in Dar es Salaam gathered more than 200 young Tanzanians with the aim to introduce them to the Russian culture - music, traditional games, and to treat them to confectionery from Russia. The Tanzanians liked the festival of Russian culture so much that we decided to continue this good tradition.
📅On 6th of December the second #RUSSIAFEST opened at the Russian House.
Speakers from St. Petersburg University told the guests about interesting facts on Russia, ie the scientific potentials of Russia and advantages of studying at St. Petersburg University - the oldest and one of the largest leading Russian universities.
After the "Russian tea party", with sweets and gingerbread, the festival participants took part in a fun quiz about Russia. The winners were awarded prizes.
💬 "I love the Russian Fest at the Russian House! I also took part in the previous festival. It's a lot of fun and very educational! Let's get together every month!" one of the guests suggested.
This year's festival of The Russian Culture will last for 4 days and will be held in various places in Dar es Salaam. One can get acquainted with Russian culture and attend the workshop "Russian Cursive" at 10:30 on Saturday at the Center of Open Education and Russian Language Learning (Dar es Salaam, Mwai Kibaki Road, Kivulini Plaza, 2-d floor).
The event was organized by St. Petersburg University with the support of the Russian House in Dar es Salaam.

📅 6 декабря в Русском Доме открылся второй Русский Фестиваль.
Спикеры из Санкт-Петербургского государственного университета (СПбГУ) познакомили гостей с интересными фактами о России, рассказали о научном потенциале России и об обучении в СПбГУ.
После "русского чаепития" с конфетами и пряниками участники фестиваля приняли участие в веселой викторине о России. Победители были награждены призами.
💬 «Я люблю фестивали русской культуры в Русском Доме! Я принимал участие и в прошлом фестивале. Это очень весело и познавательно! Давайте собираться каждый месяц!" - предложил один из гостей.
