📅 On 9th of November, on the sidelines of the Forum of Alumni of Soviet and Russian Universities in Sub-Saharan Africa, a working meeting was held between a delegation of Russian universities headed by the Deputy Head of Rossotrudnichestvo Pavel Shevtsov and the leadership of Dar es Salaam University, the largest university in Tanzania.
🤝 During the meeting, Pavel Shevtsov noted the positive dynamics of the development of relations between Russian and Tanzanian universities, representatives of Russian universities outlined points of interaction with the leading educational institutions of Tanzania on the basis of scientific and educational cooperation.
Before the university students, the delegation held a presentation of the opportunities of Russian education, and the representative of the organizing committee of the largest international project of 2024 - the Youth Festival in Sochi, Yulia Motyakina, invited students to participate in the event.

📅 On 9th of November, the representatives of Russian and Tanzanian universities held talks in Dar es Salaam under the leadership of Pavel Shevtsov, Deputy Head of Rossotrudnichestvo.
The Russian side talked about the possibilities of joint work with Tanzanian partners in such areas as medicine, mining, IT technologies and information security, biotechnology, environmental protection, engineering and pedagogy.
The issue of promoting Russian language was actively discussed.
Following the meeting, Southwestern State University signed cooperation agreements with the Dar es Salaam Institute of Technology (DIT) and the University of Iringa.

🤝 Prospects of cooperation between Russia and East African countries in the field of healthcare and education were discussed in Tanzania
📅 From 8th to 9 th of November, a Forum of Alumni of Soviet and Russian universities - representatives of education and healthcare systems - was held in Dar es Salaam. The large-scale event ended with five round tables.
Representatives of Alumni associations of ten African countries made suggestions on what forms of cooperation with Alma-mater universities they are interested in. The main issue raised by the graduates is continuing education, additional education, advanced training courses, summer schools.
The participants focused on the fact that graduates of Russian universities could obtain simplified entry to the Russian Federation in order to continue cooperation with Russia, investment or business.
Also, representatives of the associations of Alumni of Russian and Soviet universities expressed their wish to have more opportunities to study Russian in their countries.
