At around 0530, Iranian air defenses shot down three small drones in the airspace of the city of Isfahan.
All flights were suspended at Tehran, Isfahan and Shiraz airports as a precautionary measure.
While an Israeli official states the aim of the strike is to send a signal to Tehran that Israel has the ability to strike inside Iran, attacking 9 targets at an IRGC air force base near Isfahan, Iran allegedly is not planning an immediate response to the night strike, as it is "unclear who is behind it", (senior Iranian official told Reuters).
