Initial reports indicate that Ansarullah forces were attempting to infiltrate high ground south of Ar Rahidah. Frontline Ansarullah sources confirm suffering casualties.

Reports also suggest the artillery fire originated from positions held by the al-Islah Party. If confirmed, it would mark a significant turning point in the recent escalation in the Yemeni file since November 2025, bringing one of Yemen's most influential anti-Ansarullah factions directly into the fighting once again.
