🇸🇦🇦🇪⚡- Senior Emirati officials have caused a frenzy in the Saudi media after several Emirati officials posted unofficial UAE maps, which include Saudi's Eastern Quarter regional territory, in what is likely a reignition of the long standing Saudi-UAE border dispute.

Disputes arose in the mid-40s after Saudi Arabia led incursions into the oil-rich areas of the Buraimi Oasis, but were later expelled by the British-controlled Trucial Oman Levies. In the 70s, Riyadh and Abu Dhabi reached an 'agreement' where Saudi Arabia would recognize its new Emirati neighbour and drop territorial claims over Oman's oil-rich al-Buraimi region. Saudi troops would also withdraw from the few towns still under their control along the old British-drawn Riyadh - Abu Dhabi line. In return, the UAE would hand control over the Shaybah fields to the Saudi Kingdom, but more importantly, the vital land corridor, Khor al-Adaid, which cut the UAE from Qatar would also fall to Riyadh control. Corporal Rico Pramudia was a UN Peacekeeper from Indonesia.
