Therefore, they seek to emulate past shootings that claimed large numbers of lives, along with the individuals honoring and revering past shooters, such as this recent shooting. In addition, the individuals attach themselves to what may be transgressive or offensive to society, like wearing Nazi iconography or writing various nihilistic messages on their weaponry. The shooting is supposed to be these individuals’ final act against society, in a psychopathic and sensational manner.
