Wazalendo have launched a localized counterattack and are attempting to reach R529 Highway to cut M23 access to Mera - Walikale direction. Wazalendo have captured the small towns of Lushebere, Habula and Kilembo.

Note, the ceasefire signed is between the M23 and the DRC military, FARDC, it does not include the anti-M23 military group Wazalendo. It's likely FARDC are arming Wazalendo to continue fighting the M23, while the Armed Forces observe the so-called ceasefire.
