🇺🇸🇩🇰🇬🇱⚡️- US Northern Command has officially taken over military operations in and around Greenland from European Command, following President Trump’s order. The island plays a vital role in homeland defense due to its proximity to the US and its control over key sea lanes including the GIUK gap, the broader North Atlantic, the Northwest Passage, and the future Transpolar Sea Route. Greenland’s position makes it capable of regulating or severing these routes, including the vital trade link between the United States and Europe.
