Minister of Foreign Affairs Péter Szijjártó, who implemented the decision, said that this decision was motivated by the ICC becoming a political body and issuing an arrest warrant for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The Minister described this arrest warrant as openly anti-Semitic.
