⚡️🇹🇷🇸🇾 Turkey is taking active steps to integrate Syria into its sphere of influence

According to the Turkish pro-government newspaper Hürriyet, Ankara and Damascus are considering a joint military operation in Syria against Kurdish forces if they refuse to lay down their arms and do not join the Syrian army.

According to Turkish sources, Erdogan plans to visit Damascus on 27 December and perform Friday prayer at the Umayyad Mosque, a symbolic event that will make Turkish leader feel like Ottoman again. The Turkish leader reasoned as if he had become the head of a neighbouring state, speaking of the need to lift sanctions on Syria as soon as possible and bring it back into the global community. Erdogan emphasised that Turkey is in close contact with the new Syrian authorities and will give them full support.

Turkey intends to help Hayat Tahrir al-Sham leader Ahmed al-Sharaa to create a regular army of 300,000 people, which will be formed with the participation of Turkish military advisers and specialists.
