Cholesterol Treatment May Also Remove PFAS And Microplastics From Blood. Therapeutic apheresis passes blood through machine that filters out targeted substances and returns blood to the body. This was unexpected as PFAS and microplastics are chemically distinct from lipoproteins and not the targets.

FDA Finds Bacteria in a Third of 'Sterile' Tattoo Inks. Of 118 tattoo ink samples labeled sterile, nearly a third, 30.5%, were contaminated, compared with 35.5% of samples without a sterility claim. Of the 94 bacteria species identified, around a third, 34%, are classified as potential pathogens.
