I created a website https://exotrace.org Using SETI and other sources 100% free, no ads, no monetisation, nothing

Basically the title. If anyone has suggestions to make it better and more useful please let me know. For now it's just a fun project for me so I hope you guys enjoy it. There is some collab bits built in but I haven't even tested that yet.

It uses the below

NASA GCN (General Coordinates Network)

e-CALLISTO solar radio network

NASA DONKI

NASA NeoWs

Lasair (ZTF broker, LSST:UK / Edinburgh)

India becomes 4th country to develop a FFSC rocket engine.

https://x.com/astrobase\_space/status/2085656034799149064

Astrobase space developed the engine in less than 2 years( Founded in 2024). The engine, "Everest," is an 80-ton class FFSC engine developed for the first stage of their upcoming reusable rocket. Also they did all this in less than $15 million dollars in funding. They also operate a 21.5 acre engine test site. The engine article will now go for testing and the first hot fire test is scheduled in this year itself.

Astrobase is not the only company in India developing FFSC engines, EtherealX Guild is also developing an 80 kn FFSC engine for their Razor crest mark 1 rocket, designed to rival the Falcon 9. It will also be a fully reusable rocket like Stokes space NOVA, but with double the capacity.

Should companions orbiting a brown dwarf be considered a moon or a planet?

They possibly detected a planetary-mass companion orbiting a brown dwarf. Here's the abstract of the paper in Nature. It's a 0.9 Jupiter mass companion orbiting a brown dwarf with 29 Jupiter masses. There's no scientific consensus if this should be considered a planet or moon. I'm curious what you guys lean towards.

Curated MIT 16.00x (Astronautics & Human Spaceflight) Lecture Playlist for Anyone Learning Aerospace

Hey everyone,

I’m fairly new to aerospace engineering and currently working my way through foundational concepts. While diving into open resources, I came across MIT’s 16.00x: Introduction to Aerospace Engineering (Astronautics and Human Spaceflight), taught by former NASA astronaut Dr. Jeffrey Hoffman.

The full course structure is available on MIT OpenCourseWare, but navigating through the website modules just to watch the video lectures sequentially felt a bit clunky.

To make it easier for continuous watching, I organized all the core video lectures into a single sequential YouTube playlist.

I wanted to share this here in case anyone else is starting out, looking for a refresher, or wants an accessible stream of the lectures without clicking through nested course pages.

Here is the playlist link: `https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLQ5yLmZZOIoI&si=dOGwMTgWExVTH1Q6`

The course covers:

Rocket science fundamentals (thrust, specific impulse, multi-stage rockets)
Orbital mechanics & delta-v budgets
Life support systems (ECLSS) and microgravity physiology
Spacesuit design and EVA mechanics

Hope this is helpful to someone else on a similar learning path!
