RDNA 3 Support
Hi all, I recently bought a new laptop. I have a question about its compatibility for hackintosh. Its processor is AMD AI 5 330 and it only have a integrated GPU which AMD Radeon™ 820M. As far I searched it "belong" to RDNA 3.
Is there any way to get macOS working on this GPU ? As far I read the chances are very low, but still does any body have any idea?
Also what is reims-vgpu ? I read about it in a post in this community this morning can anyone explain what it is ? Here is the github link of that https://github.com/steelbrain/reims-vgpu
I think its some kind of "tool" to get GPU acceleration in VM ? Is that what it is and can I use it with my CPU and GPU ?

Can i get a windows laptop and crack mac os in it?
My goal is to be able to use Logic Pro, which is only available on mac. However I'm thinking if I'll buy a windows laptop and crack mac OS in it, that way I use mac os in a separate profile and windows in the other, I can use logic without having to miss out on stuff like gaming, which is impossible on mac.
Is it possible to do this? What specs would be ideal?

Speaker works but mic doesn't, or vice versa.
So guys, I've fixed it and here's the solution:
So the condition was, speakers were working fine but mic wasn't receiving any sound, it only received only for a bit like a sec and again stopped working when Siri or voice memo was activated. These method can work on both condition where mic and speaker both doesn't work or one works but other doesn't.
First thing as usual, you should search for your internal audio chip model by giving your pc motherboard or laptop model on Google and then go to this website: https://github.com/acidanthera/applealc/wiki/supported-codecs
And search for your layout ID. Take a photo or screenshot of it whatever you are comfortable with and try those all layout IDs.
Use OCAuxilaryTools as it has simple UI, go to "DP" (at left panel) then in PciRoot(0x0)/Pci(0x1b,0x0) and at right side, there will be "layout-id" with data type "Number" with whatever value is there. If it doesn't exist, it is maybe in different list of PCIList or if you can't find it anywhere, just create it in PciRoot(0x0)/Pci(0x1b,0x0).
Now, test all those layout IDs that you got from the website I told earlier in the layout-id value by double clicking it and saving it, restart your machine after each layout change and don't forget to reset NVRAM.
If you get lucky, you'll get both mic and speaker working. If not, go to this second method:
For this second method, you should have Windows as another OS or any other Windows laptop or PC. Download "Opencore simplify main" from GitHub, run the .bat file from the folder, proceed with the creation of EFI making. At the layout ID selection, there will be list of layouts for your sound card along with laptop/motherboard model. Take a photo of it, go to ChatGPT or any deep thinking AI, tell it to tell the most closer laptop/motherboard model from the list to your laptop model, also don't forget it to tell it your laptop/motherboard model too. Select and give the layout ID of the selected laptop/motherboard in the EFI layout ID selection. Complete your EFI, copy it to a pendrive, boot into your mac, mount your EFI drive, copy that EFI from your pendrive in the EFI folder, remember to copy it inside the EFI folder not outside, select "replace" when prompted, don't hit anything else. After copying, restart your mac, and reset your NVRAM. You should get your mic and speaker working again :)
If not, comment here, I'll look into your problem.

USB 3.0 devices not detected by USBmap tool
Hello!
I need some help because I cannot get macOS 26 to see my USB 3.0 devices no matter how hard I try.
My setup is an ASRock b460m-HDV with 4 USB 3.1 and 2 USB 2.0 in the back, and a hub in the front with one USB 2.0 and one USB 3.0 port. They are all Type A ports.
I have tried using USBToolBox on Windows, where it does see both the USB 2.0/3.0 companions and I created a usb map from there. Every single one is accounted for and labeled as Type 3 (USB 3 Type A) and only 14 ports are enabled.
When I apply this kext, my macOS side is able to see any USB 2.0 device, and USB 3.0 devices only work in the 2.0 slots, performing at 2.0. If I plug USB 3.0 devices into any of my other ports they are ignored completely.
If I just map them all as USB 2.0 slots, I can use any device on any of the ports but obviously only at 2.0 performance, which is where I'm at with it right now until I figure out how to get it to acknowledge the 3.0 ports.
XhciPortLimit is disabled, I have no other USB-related kexts.
I've tried using the dummy kext and USBmap.command tool and disabling the ones I already know, and in that tool, even when I have only the higher number ports enabled that windows says are the 3.0 counterparts, the tool and macOS don't see the USB device at all.
Is there ANYTHING else I can try? Am I missing something super obvious? Let me know if you need to see anything from my config. Thank you!

SUCCESS RTL8822CE WIFI STARTS ON MY LAPTOP(MACOS15 R5 5500U+RENOIR(VEGA7) HP 15s-eq2039ur)
Hi evereybody! i fnly finished working on my project and its successfull. Wanted to share u the thing ive done cuz i find it very useful 4 our community
I just want to say that after a month of work, I finally have a working and, in fact, stable driver for this chip (10ec:c822). It working on my macOS 15 Hackintosh.
2.4 and 5 GHz scanning, WPA2, VHT80, reconnecting and sleep/wake are working. I also made a small menu bar app for scanning, connecting and managing saved networks.
It is currently implemented through IOEthernetController, so this is not native Apple Wi-Fi/Skywalk integration. DFS connections, WPA3, AirDrop and AWDL are not supported yet.
I mostly wanted to share the result because this card was previously unusable on modern macOS. Testing reports from other RTL8822CE systems would be useful.
P.S. It would be my pleasure if you would use my drivers and share ur opinion on it! Github link in the comments. Have a nice day)

Question about reims-vgpu
Hello.
Can anybody please explain to me what is reims-gpu, I've been seeing quite a lot posts about in reddit. I tried to read their github page but couldn't understand anything.
Is it some kind of tool to pass GPU to a MacOS vm (like OSX-KVM) ? If so can I passthrough any modern unsupported iGPU/AMD/NVIDIA and get the vm working smoothly ?

Stuck on mcache: 4 CPU(s), 64 bytes CPU cache line size in Ivy Bridge Dual GPU Laptop
Device: ASUS X452CP It has an Intel Core i3-3217u, it also has an AMD Radeon Graphics HD 8530M. I do know that the dGPU is not supported, I do also know that my wifi card may not be supported too. It has 4 GB of DDR3 ram, 512 GB 5400 RPM HDD (yes i do know it will run bad)
MacOS that I'm trying to run: High Sierra
I waited 20 minutes and it was stuck on the same line, I do have a Caps Lock light. It's off, if I click it, it just stays off.
Connecting it to a monitor does nothing.
Display Info:

2. Resolution: 1366x768 @ 60Hz
3. Size: 14" diagonal (355mm, \~112 DPI)

Audio problem (Monterey)
No mic/audio input working anywhere (GarageBand, Logic Pro) HP ProBook 650 G1 (OpenCore, AppleALC for audio)
Problem: nothing can record audio input. Not the built-in mic, not a USB interface, in any app tried GarageBand, Logic, Tonebridge, all dead silent on input.
What's weird: System Settings > Sound > Input actually shows the level meter moving when I plug in a USB interface and talk/play, voice memos actually records my input, any website mictests. But the second I go into any app, nothing. No meter movement, no permission popup either. apps don't even show up under Privacy & Security > Microphone, even after tccutil reset Microphone. Also tried killall coreaudiod, no change.
Checked IORegistryExplorer, I've got AppleACPIPCI > HDEF@1B with AppleHDAController attached as a driver.
