Some tips for Hackintoshing

I didn't want to yap about all the previous auto-tool shit again, here's 4 pretty useful tips for Hackintoshing, as someone who got 4 hacks up and running before

1. Keep trying, failing isn't bad. Hackintoshing is trying to make a Windows computer run a software that never would've ever ran together otherwise. As such, you need to be patient when making a Hack, otherwise you will fail completely. If it fails, go back, look at what went wrong and fix that issue. It'll earn you valuable experience along the way.
2. Don't be afraid to ask for help. Asking for help isn't a bad thing, in fact it may just speed up the whole process for you. Just be sure to look at the rules before asking for help.
3. Time is money. Patience is key. If you don't want to sit for hours trying to make a Hack work, just get yourself a MacBook Neo or a Mac mini. They are powerful and is less hassle to set up than a Hackintosh.
4. Don't use auto-tools, prebuilts and configurators. This one is pretty obvious, they mess up everything and don't teach you anything. They also make it impossible to ask for help on this subreddit, per rule 6. Prebuilts fall into rule 9 somewhat, and there is never an actually usable one-size-fits-all solution for Hackintoshes.

Lenovo Yoga 530-14IKB (i5-8250U + UHD 620) – Stuck at EB.RH.LRH|P! Err(0xE) on Ventura installer

Hi all,

I’m trying to install macOS Ventura on my Lenovo Yoga 530-14IKB (i5-8250U + UHD Graphics 620) using OpenCore.

I built the EFI manually following the Dortania guide for Coffee Lake / Kaby Lake Refresh laptops.

What I have tried so far:

• Multiple SMBIOS (MacBookPro15,1 / 15,2 / 15,4)

• Standard iGPU framebuffer patches (AAPL,ig-platform-id 00001B59 and 0000C087, device-id spoof, framebuffer-stolenmem 00003001, etc.)

• Both recovery (macrecovery.py) and full installer created with createinstallmedia on a real Mac

• All recommended Booter and Kernel quirks (DevirtualiseMmio, ResizeAppleGpuBars=-1, AllowRelocationBlock, RebuildAppleMemoryMap, DisableLinkeditJettison, PowerTimeoutKernelPanic, etc.)

• HfsPlus.efi (and tested VBoxHfs.efi)

• Boot-args including -v keepsyms=1 debug=0x100 -lilubetaall alcid=16 -igfxvesa -disablegfxfirmware

• Kernel patches to disable root hash validation (_authenticate_root_hash)

Current problem: The boot always shows the Apple logo + progress bar for a few seconds, then reboots with this error in the OpenCore log: [EB.RH.LRH|P!\] Err(0xE) <- EB.LD.LF

How do I add ram?

Hello everyone,

I have been using this hackintosh for about 6 months and I finnaly decided to upgrade the ram from 8 gigs to 16. I have tried to restart but I could not get it to show that another ram stick had been added. I tested the ram on another computer and it worked. Any tips to try and help me fix the problem?

new build, buying advice and input on sleeper project

id like as streamlined a project as i can get. for refrence my last project involved badnsawing a board in half and folding it on itself with ribbon cables. streamlined is all relative.


i have a G4 15" imac i want to put a hackintosh in, dual boot windows or linux with macos. reading up it sounds like i should go 10th gen intel, AMD 5XXX/6XXX and stick to Z series chipsets.


i need a itx board so ig my question is: what wiggle room do i have on chipsets? how much of a pita would it be to use a less than recommended board? im still shopping so recommendations are welcome. im also limited to \~ 300W and i have not started building a custom PSU yet.


ill be reusing the 15" apple display @ 1024x768 OR swapping to a 1280X1024. i doubt ill swap to a wide screen due to cost. im not looking to spend a lot on this, ebay and marketplace for parts mostly

My screen is Black after log in

I start my pc and log in and than from the top came error codes.After this the screen is black sometimes I came in my account, but not always.I have this competes in my pc AMD Ryzen 5 5500,Gigabyte A520M DS3H, Asrock Radeon RX 6600 Challenger D,Samsung SSD 980 and DDR4-3200 DIMM. In Mac OS I have a little graphic issues.I had installed the last version of MacOS.
