I need a radio app with no ads (willing to pay one-time)

My dad is 80 years old, don't use phones, and we can't find a good, portable analog radio for now, so I gave him a simple android, but he has no idea of what to do when a ad appears, is there a paid (one-time purchase) radio app that is easy to use?

Motorola phones has built-in radio app that is pretty good, but it requires a external anthena (plugged in the audio jack), and my dad don't like any type of headphones/buds either, speakers only.

calendar app that DOESN'T have the ability for family sync (or anything else)

i am so tired of being convinced my personal events (friends' birthdays, appointments, etc) i make in google calendar won't be forcibly synced to My Dad after i disable some setting or another, only for it to happen again like a month later. i don't even want syncing with Anything to be a Possibility. i want the dumbest calendar known to man that isn't made of paper. please. i just want an app that will notify me a few days before Event and the day of Event and literally nothing else no other features at all even a little not even optional ones. if it uses the same calendar system every other app does i'm convinced it will continue wiping my settings and sharing John Friendfromcollege's birthday with every family member i've ever had.

Audio not working for some apps and gallery

Yesterday, Audio stopped working on my phone for some apps. YouTube and WhatsApp are working fine. But Instagram, Snapchat, and Facebook don't seem to be playing reels, voice notes, and viI have also reset my phone, and the issue returned today. Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this.

Movie streaming apps not working on android 16

I was trying to open free movie streaming apps such as filmplus , cineplus , nova tv , this evening on the 19th of August and none of the above would open for me...is there anyone else with the same issue on samsung galaxy a56?

I tried forcing stop and clearing the app cache with no luck

I tried to use an older version on one of the apps and it wouldnt open either


If anyone has a similar working app that they could recommend, then please too ... it would be important to have the option to connect to chromecast through the app

What are the best scanning apps these days?

I used to use Office Lens (later Microsoft Lens), but it was retired earlier this year in favor of OneDrive's built-in scanning function (limited to 10 pages per doc for no reason). Now OneDrive scanning has been gutted even further, I can only scan single page documents, so I'm in the market for a nice third party app. Paid apps are okay, subs are not okay. All I need is smooth high quality scanning, PDF export, automatic OneDrive sync. What is the best option today?

How to transfer everything from old to new phone ?

I want to get rid of my old phone because the screen is cracked and I'm afraid of losing data. Thing is I also have new phone and I already made a new Google account which just makes me confuse like how am I supposed to transfer everything because I felt like using two phones. Like I have tabs open already and photo gallery is almost full but I still want to access my old phone stuff in the new phone.

Previously I used to use "Pocket:Save, Read, Grow".

But unfortunately, its discontinued.

Raindrop is not great, it doesn't works in offline mode, and many features are hidden behind subscription.

got some opinion rewards money expiring soon.. app recommendations?

I've got some opinion rewards money expiring soon.. I'm looking for some app recommendations to spend the money on.

What I'd really like is some sort of AI summary app that will summarize whatever text is either on my screen, on the webpage I'm looking at in-browser, reddit thread, etc etc.

If there isn't something good with that functionality, I also like good weather apps (use MyRadar Pro a ton), and I like one time purchase apps and games.

I'm not looking for a new subscription (although I did pay for a dark sky subscription when that was a thing because I found the app that useful), or some pay to win garbage that needs tokens or whatever to level up.

I'll pay for the game or app once if it gets rid of ads and the app is useful.

NZB360 is the GOAT. I'll pay big money for an app like this with this level of polish, functionality, and transparency/communication from the dev. This app has single-handedly kept me locked into the Android ecosystem, not that I was really looking to leave, but I never can in the future because of this app. Another gem like this would be great.

Samsung gaming hub probleam

So i usually download offline games for trips or vacations, but after they get sent to the gaming hub, if i have no WiFi the app gaming hub doesn't open and doesnt show me the games since I dont have internet So how am I supposed to play them? Yes I can search them but I forgot the name or have multiple games how do I fix this?

Joined Calendar iOS/Android with outlook import function

Hi,

my wife and I are currently using timetree as our joined calendar. My wife has an iphone.
I started to work in a new company which uses 100% Microsoft workflows with sending meeting invites directly with teams etc. Quite convenient tbh.

Now we have a child and we both have to organize our days to pick it up. Normally we got along with Timetree but for me it is not feasible anymore to structure my workout with outlook and manually add these appointments in timetree. I also dont want to check 2 calendars everyday to know what my day will look like.

Question: Is there any calendar app (on Android AND iOS) which allows us to make a joined calender with the function of autoimporting all my stuff from my outlook calendar to it? Preferably free and open source but we are also ok paying a 1-time fee. No subscription model.
