▶️ Iran’s national museum is displaying a collection of artifacts that was stolen decades ago but has finally returned home after a long legal battle.

The items, which include sacred figurines, pots and jars, date back to more than 3000 years. They were stolen and sent to the West more than four-decades ago.

In 1991, the British museum was seeking to buy the collection from a smuggler residing in Switzerland. The objects however were seized by Swiss police and revealed in a court in 2008.

Since then, Iran had been trying to get the stolen treasures back home.
