PRAYER
Heavenly Father,
As we stand near another new beginning, we acknowledge Your faithfulness through every season.
Today we pray for revival in our nation, which is so important to us.
As Your word promises, if we humble ourselves and pray, seek Your face and turn from our wicked ways, You will hear from heaven, forgive our sin, and heal our land.
We pray for that, Father.
Help make us more like Christ in this new year, turning our hearts away from ourselves and toward serving Your perfect will.
Equip us with Your full armor as we face the spiritual battles ahead.
Where we lack or fall short, we ask that You fill us with Your Spirit. Teach us, as Your Son did, to transform our daily struggles into opportunities for learning from You, and for grace.
And if You grant us prosperity, let us be generous; if hardship comes, let us be steadfast, strengthened by the Truth of Your word.
As we pray for revival, in this time when evil tries to prevail in our land, help us remember that greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world.
In this New Year, may our homes be sanctuaries of peace - protected by Your mighty hand from every attack of the enemy, and may our words and thoughts be enriched by Your teachings, and may our actions reflect Your mercy and love.
Let this year be marked not by our resolutions, but by Your sovereignty.
Whether in plenty or in want, in joy or in trial, may we fix our eyes first on our Redeemer, the author and perfecter of our faith.
We pray that You grant us wisdom to number our days, strength to carry each other's burdens, and hearts that overflow with gratitude. Not for our glory, but for Yours alone.
In the mighty name of Jesus,
Amen.
"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new." - 2 Corinthians 5:17 (NKJV)

SCRIPTURE
12 Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me.
13 Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead,
14 I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.
15 Therefore let us, as many as are mature, have this mind; and if in anything you think otherwise, God will reveal even this to you.
16 Nevertheless, to the degree that we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule, let us be of the same mind.
Philippians 3:12β16 (NKJV)

PRAYER
Father in Heaven,
I pray to you as an American who writes prayers to share with those in my audience who sometimes follow along,
And so we pray to you today as Americans.
Today we have a prayer that is a little different than other weeks, because significant change is taking place here on earth.
I cannot speak for everyone among my audience, but can say what I believe to be true, and a feeling which I believe many of us share, when I say:
Maybe not everyone sees it. But some of us, we do believe we see it, and we see it clearly.
Some of us, we believe that You saved our rightful President in our American city of Butler, Pennsylvania,
And that you lifted him up to fight back against corruption,
And that he is now, by the grace of God, making significant changes that will advance truth, and freedom, in places where it matters most at home and around the world.
It is incredible, and it reminds us that You make all things possible.
We thank you for Your blessings upon all of us.
And as we recognize the triumph we also remember with heavy hearts all of the precious lives touched that tragic day in Butler.
We pray that you will continue to surround, with Your surpassing peace, the family of Corey Comperatore and all of our loved American families affected on that day; comfort them as the God of all comfort; and turn their sorrow into strength.
In Your mercy, defeat evil and let righteousness prevail.
Every day, we are grateful beyond words to be called your children.
We continue to study Your word. We pray that you continue to share your wisdom with us, Father.
We pray for Your forgiveness where we have fallen short.
Please bless us with the strength to attend our responsibilities, and the courage to face our challenges here on earth.
We trust Your perfect justice and unfailing love.
In the Holy name of Jesus,
Amen.

PRAYER
Sovereign Lord, our Rock and our Fortress, we pray to You for a mighty awakening across our land, a divine outpouring of Your Spirit that would restore our nation to its Christian foundations.
Father, in these days when Your truth faces mounting opposition, we pray that You would move like wind across our nation, transforming hearts and rekindling the sacred flames of faith that once burned bright in America. Let Your revival begin in our churches, spread through our communities, and sweep across our land with unstoppable power.
Holy Spirit, as concerns mount about religious liberty and public prayer, we trust that You are preparing the way for an unprecedented awakening. Transform our anxious thoughts about these mounting pressures into bold witness, that through our faithful stand, many would turn to Your saving truth.
Grant us strength for our responsibilities in the week ahead, Lord. Continue to guide us and share Your wisdom as we labor toward this great awakening in our land.

PRAYER
Sovereign Lord, we pray to You today grateful for Your faithful love toward our nation, rejoicing in Your enduring promises.
As Your truth faces resistance, and just when we feel we canβt take it anymore, we watch in awe as Your mighty hand moves across our land time and time again.
As reliable as the morning light, You meet us when we need it the most and, in many ways, give us the courage to begin a new day.
Is it true and we believe: Through Your steadfast watch over us and our nation, we see Your hand at work, sometimes in ways we didn't anticipate, but that always strengthen our faith.
Father, today we ask for Your Spirit of discernment to flow through Your earthly people with all their confusion and imperfections. Though that confusion now clouds young minds in our schools and public discussions, we rejoice that Your eternal truth shines forth in gentle power, as it always has in history's most important moments.
In these difficult days, change us by Your Holy Spirit, united in pursuing Your perfect peace on earth. Though many days we feel that with man this seems impossible, we remember our Lord's teaching that with God, all things are possible.
And so we pray without ceasing: Where division tears us apart, guide us through these dark times to find ways to unite for the common needs and goals, according to Your Word, and in Your light.
When earthly powers challenge our faith and liberty, comfort our hearts with the constant knowledge that our true citizenship is in heaven, where Christ reigns far above all principality and power.
Here on earth, as we sometimes struggle at work, at home, in our neighborhoods; we pray for our families and for those who guard our freedoms, seeking Your divine shield against forces that would assault Your perfect design.
And with humble yet hopeful hearts, we seek Your strength for our week ahead, that we may walk unwavering in faith.
We admit we don't always have the wisdom we need to make it through all of this on our own.
Let Your Spirit flow through us like morning light, awakening our hearts every day to devotion, so that Your truth may draw the lost to Your eternal grace.
In the mighty name of Jesus Christ our Lord,
Amen.

END OF WEEK DEVOTIONAL - NOTHING CAN SEPARATE US
Would never claim to know everything or to speak on behalf of anyone other than myself. I will say though:
If you ask me, I think Godβs grace and love for those of us who trust in Him is greater than any of us can imagine.
Scripture shows that He is both perfectly loving and perfectly just.
He doesn't ignore or excuse sin, but He has satisfied His justice through the death and resurrection of His One and Only Son for all who trust in Him (Rom 3:23β26). π
It was the single greatest gift to humanity in all of history (John 3:16).
Many, including many of Godβs own people at the time, were not ready to recognize what was done, and still, even today, fail to see it.
We need to recognize it, though. How could we not? It is among the worst failures of the human heart when we do not see and understand, as best as we can, what God has done for us.
The Bible says that His ways and thoughts are higher than ours, which reminds us that His wisdom, His plans, and His love far surpass our limited understanding.
Not to sound unconcerned about our own pursuit of righteousness, which is fundamental, what I am saying is:
Even though we are still imperfect, I'm inclined to believe that those who are in Christ can be confident that nothing can separate us from the love of God.
And that is something we can be very happy about.
Happy Friday, from your computer fren, JP.

13 You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men.
14 You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.
15 Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house.

PRAYER
Heavenly Father, we stand in awe of Your mighty hand as it moves with divine purpose. Throughout history, Your Word has shown how You raise up and bring down kingdoms according to Your perfect will.
Father, we witness today Your sovereign authority displayed across distant lands where people have suffered for a long time. We see swift changes that unfold before our eyes, as we are thoughtful about prophecies.
Holy Spirit, as momentous events reshape the Middle East, we pray that You will grant wisdom to our nation's leaders and military personnel. Shield them as they defend freedom. When enemies plot destruction, we rejoice that You transform their evil plans into opportunities for Your divine purpose.
Lord, we pray for peace throughout the region. As sudden transformation brings uncertainty, we ask that You guide those newly freed from oppression toward governance that respects human dignity and religious liberty. May Your truth find fertile soil where persecution once reigned.
Father, in these pivotal times when Your prophetic Word seems to unfold before us, we pray that You will unite Your believers in prayer. Help us remember that while nations rise and fall, Your throne remains eternally secure. We trust in the name of the Lord our God.
We pray for the protection of innocent lives amidst these historic changes. Though warfare brings sorrow, we seek Your mercy for civilians caught in conflict, while rejoicing that Your justice prevails.
Grant us discernment as we navigate these momentous days, that we may understand the times. Let Your word arise as a beacon of hope, pointing many to salvation in Christ as events remind us of Your sovereign control over all human history.

Sovereign Father, as momentous events unfold across the Middle East, we stand in awe of Your prophetic Word taking shape before our eyes. We pray for the protection of our troops and allies, and for those finding new breath in lands long closed to Your gospel, and for innocent lives caught in the crossfire of ancient conflicts.
And we pray: where darkness has reigned, let Your light break through.
Lord, we thank You for leaders who welcome prayer into the halls of power, and we ask that You continue to guard the religious freedoms You have graciously preserved for us. Where bias against Your people has taken root in our institutions, we trust in You to restore what is right.
Holy Spirit, we pray that You will shield our children from the confusion that spreads through our schools and culture. When legislation fails them and authorities overstep, remind us that You are their ultimate Defender. Grant courage to parents who stand firm in Your truth about how You created us.
As we enter the week ahead, we pray, grant us Your strength to meet every responsibility You have placed before us, that our daily labors might reflect Your grace and truth in our earthly world that needs both.
In these days when so much seems uncertain, we fix our eyes not on earthly powers, but on You, who holds every nation in Your hand and works all things together for good.

Sovereign Father, we gather in Your Holy presence grateful for Your steady hand upon our nation.
We thank You for the victories You have granted us. Where courts once silenced Your commandments in our classrooms, Your truth now stands restored. For many of us, that serves as a reminder how You who laid this nation's foundations can hold every courtroom, every classroom, and every meaningful opportunity for influence in Your sovereign hand.
Lord, as deceptions multiply, for example in our children's schools, within our own denominations, and now in strange signs meant to mislead Your people, we pray that You will pour out Your Spirit of discernment. You alone are Creator; Your Word alone is truth; and no scheme of the enemy shall prevail against those anchored in You.
We pray for the protection of those You have raised up to lead, knowing that no weapon formed against the righteous shall ultimately prosper.
Holy Spirit, fill us with courage and clarity for the week ahead. Strengthen our families, we pray, guard our children, and guide us to strengthen our faith while keeping us focused on You.

PRAYER
Almighty and ever-living God, our hearts overflow with gratitude that You call us Your beloved children, and that the same power that conquered death itself lives within us. To You be all praise and thanksgiving.
In this Holy Week, we confess that we fall short too often. Forgive us, Lord, and draw us closer to You.
Lord, in Your mercy, restore us. Establish our hearts in hope.
We pray today before You, mindful of the conflicts and uncertainties of these days, such as the wars abroad, the pressures on our families, the voices that mock Your people's faith. Yet we are not afraid, for Your Word tells us not to be afraid.
Be our refuge, we pray.
Guide us, now, to follow our Savior with joyful faithfulness in all that we do, awed by His steadfast love and filled with wonder at the path He walked for us.
As His disciples were called to abide with Him in every trial, so grant that we may walk beside Him in steadfast and confident trust, ever and always assured that You go before us, remain with us, and uphold us at every step along the way.
O Father in heaven, grant us Your strength for every responsibility that lies ahead, and fill us with the joy and hope that only You can give.
Through Jesus Christ our Lord,
Amen.

He is risen!
The angel said to the women:
βDo not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. He is not here; for He is risen, as He said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.β
β Matthew 28:5-6 NKJV
Then the women remembered His words:
βThe Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.β
They returned from the tomb and told the apostlesβbut their words seemed like idle tales at first. Peter ran to the tomb, saw the linen cloths, and marveled.
β Luke 24:6β8, 11β12 (abridged, NKJV)
The tomb is empty.
Christ is risen! Indeed He is risen!
What a glorious hope we have.

β Matthew 28:5-6 NKJV
Then the women remembered His words:
βThe Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.β
They returned from the tomb and told the apostlesβbut their words seemed like idle tales at first. Peter ran to the tomb, saw the linen cloths, and marveled.
β Luke 24:6β8, 11β12 (abridged, NKJV)
The tomb is empty.
Christ is risen! Indeed He is risen!
What a glorious hope we have.

PRAYER
Heavenly Father, Creator of all things, we pray today giving thanks for Your unwavering faithfulness in a changing world.
We recognize Your protective hand, as You are our Rock and Fortress through every season of trial.
God of all wisdom, we pray for our nation at this pivotal moment.
Grant discernment to those in authority, we pray. In the halls of power and along our borders, guide every deliberation by Your perfect counsel.
Holy Spirit, we also pray, as the spiritual battle intensifies, arm us with Your full armor. Help us stand strong as faithful examples in a world searching for hope, as cultural tides assault the foundations of family and truth.
Forgive us, Father, for our sin; we have fallen short of Your glory. By Your mercy, turn our hearts back to You and lead us in obedience to Your Word, following the example of our Lord.
May Your presence calm our anxieties and leave us with confident peace, knowing no earthly power can dim Your sovereign light.
And we pray for strength for the week ahead, that our homes and work would honor You and serve as a witness to Your truth and grace.
We pray this in the mighty name of our risen Savior, Jesus Christ.
Amen.

PRAYER
Almighty Sovereign God in Heaven, we pray to You today with grateful hearts, thankful to be called Your children.
Lord, we thank You today for the grace You have shown our nation across generations, that from when we were first founded, You raised us up, strengthened us, and entrusted us as Americans in a leadership role not only for the independent country we founded and grew ourselves, but as strong leadership among the nations of the earth.
It is true, and we can say honestly, that we do not take that trust lightly; we are deeply thoughtful about it.
Father, at this pivotal moment in history, we pray with deep and earnest sincerity for our leadership. Grant discernment and wisdom to our nation's decision makers, from Your infinite wisdom that surpasses our own understanding. Give them ears to hear Your counsel above the noise of the world, and the courage to act not merely by their own wisdom, but by Yours. For Your ways are higher than our ways, and Your thoughts higher than ours.
Guide our nation, Father God, toward the purposes You alone have ordained.
And as we enter the week ahead, Lord, grant each of us the strength to meet every responsibility You have placed before us. Guard our families, we pray, steady our hearts, and lead us in all that we do, that our lives, and our decisions, may reflect Your truth and grace, and be guided by Your will.

PRAYER
Heavenly Father, in this time of confusion and corruption, You have been our light. Where the world has pressed against the foundations of family, faith, and truth, You have not left us. Lord, we give You all the praise and glory.
We pray today for those You have raised up to lead us, in our homes, our churches, and where our nation's decisions are made. We pray that You will continue to guard them, Father, against all dangers and perils. We pray that You continue to bless them and grant them wisdom that surpasses their own understanding, and that they be granted the courage to govern by Your counsel rather than the noise and political pressures of the world. May no weapon formed against them prosper.
We trust that You hold every nation in Your hand, and that Your purposes shall not fail.
And we pray for our precious children of all ages, that You will protect them from the deceptions that seek to pull them from Your truth. That you will strengthen the families and congregations that stand firm in Your Perfect Word. And where Your people face pressure, in schools, in communities, in the public square, remind us that You are our ultimate Defender of everything that truly matters.
Forgive us, Father, where we have fallen short of Your calling. Cleanse us and restore us, that we may stand worthy of Your mercy.
As we go forward into the week ahead, fill us with Your strength for every responsibility You have placed before us. May our homes and our work reflect Your grace and truth in a world so much in need of both. And may we be found faithful, Lord, bearing fruit for Your Kingdom, until Your glorious return.
In the mighty name of Jesus Christ our Lord,
Amen.

PRAYER
Heavenly Father, we thank You that You work all things together for good for those who love You. In that promise our hearts find rest. When the world grows loud with confusion, Your peace, deeper than any sea and higher than any storm, stands guard over our hearts and minds.
Today we pray for families facing uncertainty, for parents who stand firm in Your truth, and for Your believers as they rise to meet this time. Grant us, we ask, the full armor You have provided, that we may shine all the more brightly as a nation that so needs Your light.
O Father, how great is the grace that keeps us! The Helper You have sent does not leave us. He teaches us, He guides us, He reminds us of all that You have spoken, and that we must not fear, and so we are not afraid.
Forgive us, Father, in Your mercy that is new every morning, for where we have fallen short. Strengthen us, we pray, for the week ahead. Fill us with the joy and peace of believing, that we may walk every day in living hope, by the power of Your Holy Spirit and the light of Your Word.
In the mighty name of Jesus,
