Farmed salmon isn’t “healthy.” It’s one of the most polluted foods on the modern plate.

Multiple independent analyses have shown that farmed salmon carries dramatically higher levels of dioxins, PCBs, and other fat-stored industrial toxins than any other commonly eaten animal product. That’s because the fish are raised in crowded pens, fed ultra-processed pellets made from contaminated fishmeal and seed-oil byproducts, and treated with chemicals to survive disease-ridden conditions.

This is why tests repeatedly show that farmed salmon contains up to 7–10× more toxic pollutants compared to beef, pork, chicken, or even eggs — exactly what you see in the chart.

If you want salmon, go wild-caught. Farmed isn’t “fish.” It’s an industrial product.

Trees have been planted by nature and humans on the Plains region since ancient times, making the region more livable for man and beast. While the Prairie States Forestry Project of Roosevelt’s New Deal administered the planting of almost a quarter-million acres of windbreaks over an eight-year period, many of these shelterbelts have been removed over time. That said, a fair amount of these historic shelterbelts remain across the prairie states, still providing good service to landowners.

This was not necessarily an original idea. European settlers on the Plains brought their tree-planting methods with them to their new homesteads after the Civil War. For instance, as early as 1885, a tree-planting project took place at South Dakota State University at Brookings, where students planted trees for shelterbelts on the campus during their spring term.

🧊 Stop drinking ice-cold drinks with your meals. Here’s why it matters:

A study (1988) gave people the same drink twice — once ice-cold (4 °C) and once body temperature (37 °C).

Result:
The ice-cold version left the stomach significantly slower than the warm one (p < 0.05).
That means food sits longer instead of digesting properly → more bloating and that heavy feeling after eating.
Your stomach has to warm every drop back to 37 °C before it can even begin processing it. That slows everything down.

🧼 Strong Scents

This is your reminder to check your soaps, conditioners and shampoos.

Particularly if it seems too fragrant or the smell sticks to you.

You know when you wash your hands and then smell the soap on your skin hours later?
No natural fragrance is that strong.

Petrochemicals & plastic-like polymers are used to make scents last longer.

Take for example a popular Australian 'Fruit Hair Conditioner'.

The name of the brand contains the word 'Organic', subconsciously implying to you that their products are clean.
The bottle says it's cruelty free, 100% vegan and plant derived.

The packaging says 'plant derived' but notice that according to the list below, only some ingredients are plant-derived.
Plant derived means they extract a substance from a plant and then use significant chemical processing to manipulate it.

The ingredients are as follows:
Water, Cetearyl Alcohol*, Cetrimonium Chloride*, Lecithin*, Macadamia Ternifolia (Macadamia Nut) Seed Oil, Triticum Vulgare (Wheat) Protein, Panthenol, Phenoxyethanol, Polyquaternium-10*, Cyclopentasiloxane, Dimethicone, Dimethiconol, Citric Acid*, Sodium Benzoate, Fragrance. *Plant Derived.

There's only one way to check how toxic this product is.
Look up each and every single ingredient. There are no shortcuts here.

Initially things look OK... Water, Alcohol, Oil, Protein...

Then you get to a synthetic preservative: Phenoxyethanol.

When you search these types of chemicals, you'll usually get the classic: Only toxic in 'high doses'.

The real question is: how toxic is it in low doses everyday for years?

🤔 Phenoxyethanol is also used in vaccines.

Next: Cyclopentasiloxane, Dimethiconol, Dimethicone
Three types of synthetic silicone. Used for smoothness and reducing frizz.

Yep that's right. Not silicon. Silicone. The same chemical you use to seal your kitchen bench 😂

Sodium Benzoate:
An irritating preservative.

Fragrance (undisclosed composition):
What kind of chemicals are commonly used?
Aldehydes -> toxic
Methyl butanoate -> irritant at best
Phthalates -> 'forever chemical' component in plastic that destroys fertility
Styrene -> like polystyrene 😂

Not only are you hurting your skin and absorbing these chemicals... you're also smelling them which means they can enter your blood through the respiratory system.

Check your products, read the label and look the ingredients up.

checkout the app INCI beauty, you can scan the code on various hygiene products.

The ingredients are color coded, with descriptions and links as to why something was labeled for example as red, which is used for the most harmful substances.

You can see peoples comments and suggestions for similar products with higher points.
Maximum number of points is 20, each bad or potentially bad ingredient takes away point.

I guess anything above 15 points is not so bad. Some people say that the app is too strict on some ingredients. As always as you say its best to research everything yourself, but its a nice app and can help.

Today — The 48 Laws of Power by Robert Greene


This book is powerful because it explains the real rules people operate by — ego, insecurity, hierarchy, and influence. Schools don’t teach this. Life does.

One law that changed everything for me is Never Outshine the Master.

It means: don’t make your boss or leader feel threatened.
Even if you’re talented, showing them up can trigger insecurity — and they’ll quietly block your progress. Understanding this alone would have saved me years of stress in work and relationships.

I genuinely wish I had read this book much earlier. It helped me understand people, avoid naïve mistakes, and navigate power dynamics with far more clarity. Also not following this rule kinda fucked up my career.

Highly recommended for every man who wants to move smarter in career, relationships, and life.
