The impact of the Internet across multiple aspects of modern society is clear. However, the influence that it may have on our brain structure and functioning remains a central topic of investigation. Here we draw on recent psychological, psychiatric and neuroimaging findings to examine several key hypotheses on how the Internet may be changing our cognition. Specifically, we explore how unique features of the online world may be influencing:

a) attentional capacities, as the constantly evolving stream of online information encourages our divided attention across multiple media sources, at the expense of sustained concentration;

b) memory processes, as this vast and ubiquitous source of online information begins to shift the way we retrieve, store, and even value knowledge;

c) social cognition, as the ability for online social settings to resemble and evoke real‐world social processes creates a new interplay between the Internet and our social lives, including our self‐concepts and self‐esteem.

Overall, the available evidence indicates that the Internet can produce both acute and sustained alterations in each of these areas of cognition, which may be reflected in changes in the brain. However, an emerging priority for future research is to determine the effects of extensive online media usage on cognitive development in youth, and examine how this may differ from cognitive outcomes and brain impact of uses of Internet in the elderly. We conclude by proposing how Internet research could be integrated into broader research settings to study how this unprecedented new facet of society can affect our cognition and the brain across the life course.

A wife’s reflection of 10 little things that inspire grace within the sacrament of marriage after 10 years of marriage {on 10/8}:⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣⁣
1. Pray, fast, and sacrifice for one another intentionally. When two people are looking in the same direction—that is towards Heaven—powerful things happen. ⁣⁣⁣
2. Never get so comfortable as to lose your manners. A simple please and thank you with a smile brings joy and peace to the home.⁣⁣⁣⁣
3. Honor your husband; refrain from speaking poorly of him.⁣⁣⁣
4. Avoid nagging or trying to take control. He is there to lead. As women we encourage his leadership and chivalry through a holy submission made freely with joy. Expect great things from him and encourage him in his masculinity and his work. ⁣⁣⁣⁣
5. Make intimacy a priority and prepare with reverence for one another. It is holy. It is beautiful. It is good. It is life giving. ⁣⁣⁣⁣
6. Make an effort each day to find a little time to speak friend to friend. At times more deeply, sharing hopes and dreams, and other times quite simply asking how he is feeling or how his day was. Then listen. Deep friendship is built on a shared life and vulnerability. ⁣
7. Read out loud or listen to a talk together. Growing together intellectually brings about fruitful conversation that raises the mind to higher things and leads to interesting conversation. ⁣⁣⁣
8. Laugh together and laugh often. I love dancing around the living room in the evening, drinking wine, and picking an activity to do together. Find your favorite way to “play” and make a date of it. ⁣⁣⁣⁣
9. Leave no stone unturned. Never let something fester or anger take root. It is worth discussing and working through what is uncomfortable and hard because love is worth fighting for. When things are challenging we like to remind each other: “We are on the same team.”⁣⁣⁣⁣
10. And finally, seek to serve one another. I have started to recognize this as the “prayer of marriage”. When we serve the other and make the other happy with little sacrifices and acts of service, we are fueling and proving love with works. We often think about serving our children well but what about the value of serving our husbands too?

As we continue to live under increasingly dystopian regimes, the need for secure communications is more vital than ever. Telegram has been a great resource and platform for disseminating information and content to racially conscious dissidents, but it certainly isn't perfect either.

Some research was done into which digital communication protocols are most ideal for our purposes. The top picks are as follows and are in no particular order:

XMPP
NextCloud
Jami
Briar
Tox
Kontalk
Delta Chat
Bitmessage
Ricochet
Status
Scuttlebot
Session has not had an E2E audit completed yet, but not a bad choice
ȱ
Protocol for SYnchronous Conferencing (PSYC)

Matrix is not recommended, and not just because it's jewish.

CAUTION: peer-to-peer communications reveal one's IP address to each other, so using a reliable VPN, proxy, or TOR is advised. Briar is an exception to this rule, as it uses either Bluetooth range or the local network it's connected to; else all traffic goes through TOR. Ones without servers are ideal, such as: Jami, Tox, Ricochet, Status, Scuttlebot, ȱ, and PSYC-2. Some are still in development and may be prone to bugs.

Keep these options in mind when communicating with your clique. Many of us belong to private groups on Telegram which are presumably free from moderator surveillance (or at least interference), but ultimately we should transition to a more durable platform that will be unable to censor our messages. Try a few out and see what works for you and your crew.

https://github.com/wrwrabbit/Partisan-Telegram-Android made to resemble Telegram as much as possible. Entering a specific "false passcode" makes the account leave all chats, channels, log out, delete sessions, send some SMS messages, "and more".
Catholic women must remember to follow these guidelines. It's not stressed enough through the catechism young children receive, but in the 1917 apparition in Fatima, Our Lady stressed there would fashions that would be introduced who gravely offended Our Lord. This is not strange since in the 1920s and the decades on women's fashion became increasingly vulgar and androgenous. It is our duty as ladies to dress like the Mother of God would dress. Modesty doesn't mean ugly colors, or dressing like a grandma. There are plenty of fashionable and affordable ways to dress with decorum.

No. These are not pickled eggs. These are homegrown, unwashed eggs stored in lime water. The lime water fills in all the pores of the egg and encases them in a shell of "glass". Water glassed eggs can last stored at room temperature like this for up to 2 years. This method of preserving raw eggs has been used since the 1800s and was common even into the 1940s and 50s. When refrigerators became a standard kitchen appliance, water glassing almost became a lost art.
You cannot use commercial eggs for this because they have all had the protective coating (bloom) washed off the shell and will quickly go bad. I recently scrambled up 18 eggs that had been stored in lime water for 7 months on an unrefrigerated cupboard shelf and they tasted perfectly fresh (although the yoke seemed a bit thinner than fresh eggs).
Anyhow, if you have an abundance of fresh, unwashed eggs, you might want to try putting some away for later. The ratio is one ounce (by weight) of lime (calcium hydroxide) to one quart of water. Calcium hydroxide is a completely natural, organic ingredient and harmless, although the powder is very fine and may irritate your lungs if you breathe it in. The lime water also quickly dried out the skin on my hands and I had to apply lotion to get them back to normal. When you do use the eggs, be sure to rinse them thoroughly before you crack them or they will taste like lime.
FYI: a gallon size container will store about 40 eggs. Lime is also known as calcium hydroxide. You can buy it in 50 pound bags in the masonry section of the hardware store, or in 1 pound bags in the canning section of the grocery store....often labeled as "pickling lime”. Thank you Jess Jassop

I would add: "Two types of material can be used to water glass eggs: sodium silicate and lime (calcium hydroxide). The type of lime to use is known as pickling lime, hydrated lime, and slaked lime. Both products are harsh on the skin and should be used cautiously; however, they both do an excellent job sealing the eggshell in order to preserve eggs long-term.

Sodium silicate is a food-grade chemical material and commonly used to seal concrete surfaces. Lime is a more natural substance and a lot more comfortable for people to use. For this recipe, we are going to use pickling lime which is found in the canning section of your local market. "

A recipe for meatless Fridays:

Margherita pizza:

-300g of 0000 flour
-½ teaspoon of yeast
-¾ teaspoon of salt
-1 teaspoon of sugar
-1 tablespoon of olive oil (any oil would do actually)
-200 ml of water.

Mix the dry ingredients together, then add the spoonful of oil and then slowly incorporate the water. Start mixing together until you have a dough. Let it rise for two hours.
After the two hours have passed, using a rolling pin or your hands, fit to your tray of choice. Cook for 5-10 minutes in high heat (the highest the better) then add tomato sauce with chopped garlic. Once the sauce is added, you can put the toppings on. My favorite ones are champignon, olives, hard boiled egg. After the toppings are added it's time to put the mozzarella on top. Do so to your taste and put back in the oven for 5- 10 minutes.
