Dear Polytechnics!

I warmly congratulate you on the 77th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. So many decades have passed since those times, full of sorrow, suffering and great exploits. More than one postwar generation has grown up. But the memory of the day of May 9, 1945, which gave the glad tidings of the long-awaited peace, will forever remain in our hearts.

The road to the Great Victory was long and difficult. Polytechnic students were in session when the news broke that our country was attacked by the enemy. And many Polytechnic students did not hesitate to volunteer at the front. May 9th is a special holiday for our University, as more than three thousand students and employees honorably fulfilled their duty to their homeland and their people.
